Does not work with Android 8.1 (4/17/18)
Pros: Cool looking.Cons:(1) Bluetooth is NOT compatible with Android 8.1. Attempts to pair with this unit result in "Bluetooth keeps stopping" errors, and tears. Bluetooth fails even after applying the BT-V 123R28 update. After much Google searching I learned that Clarion is aware of the issue, but don't count on them pushing an update to this 3-year-old unit. Very disappointing, I wanted to use this unit's aptx codecs as Android Oreo now supports them. However ironically, the unit doesn't even work with Android 8.1. Sidebar, I don't have an iPhone, but I did attempt to pair this unit to my 2017 iPad Pro 10.5 and it also failed. This smacks of a deeper bluetooth issue with this model, as it fails across platforms.(2) Poor FM reception (significantly worse than my stock radio).(3) Unintuitive UI. (Can you even call it a UI when it's just LCD) Anyhow this thing was locked in a demo mode constantly scrolling through it features like an ol' school VCR. Garbage.Other thoughts: As if all of this wasn't enough, apparently I got a defective unit because the auxiliary 3.5mm input jack was DOA. Even CDs don't have sound??? Clarion what happened?

Awesome stereo for 2006 Toyota Matrix XR!
I have owned a total of 8 Clarion car stereos over the years, and Clarion has NEVER, and I truly mean NEVER, let me down as far as sound quality, appearance, features, and fitment! That being said, the city I live in has banned the use of a cell phone while driving (which is a great thing in my opinion). My daughters car did not come with Bluetooth (2006 Toyota Matrix XR), and so I immediately went to Clarions website and started searching for double din stereos with Bluetooth and if found this CX305. The price was right, it looks great, fitment in her Matrix was perfect, and she can safely focus on driving and talk through her stereo instead of a cell phone glued to her ear. These are my daughters likes:-microphone built into the stereo faceplate-calls are very clear in all 4 speakers-stereo is loud (kids)-USB and 3.5mm Jack in the front-big volume knob and easy to use buttons-easy to navigate-syncs very quickly to her cell phone (iPhone 5S)These are my daughters dislikes:-NONE with this Clarion stereo-now she wants me to replace the factory speakers (when does it end)I do highly recommend this stereo and all Clarion products, as they will last, sound great, look good, and not let you down!CPS

Complete Misfire
Clarion really dropped the ball on this one. I understand that this is a cheaper unit but for Clarion this is just terrible. It's two line display it's pretty disappointing and can't even show the time and station and/or track info at the same time. Also no RDS (My fault for not researching better), when listening to Bluetooth or MP3's once again it can't use both lines and has to scroll all info across the top line. The menu's are horribly laid out. Simply adjusting bass and treble on the fly is terribly overly complicated. You have to navigate through all sound settings just to turn them up or down. Sound wise, it's very heavy in the mid range but lacking the very bottom end to even it out. Highs are OK but they seem to be either a little to much or not quite enough. I've run Pro Audio for 15 years. Very unbalanced sound. The built in mic is very weak. Had the sensitivity set to high and people still had a hard time hearing me even with engine off and the HVAC fan turned off. I had a comparable Pioneer model and it was much better in overall sound, display, and design which I mistakenly sold to my brother. I know Clarion can do better than this. Very disappointing. I returned this one and bought a Kenwood DPX502BT. Better sound, design, and features, AND only a few bucks more. C'mon Clarion, you know you can do better than this.

Love it! Sound quality is great once you find your way through the menu. :)
I own the CZ302 Clarion single DIN stereo for my Bronco and love the bluetooth connection for hands free calls and music streaming. Recently picked up a 2006 CVPI and wanted to fill the hole with a double DIN stereo with same features and price as my other Clarion stereo. This one did not disappoint, works flawlessly once paired with my iPhone 6.I used the Metra 95-5817 Double DIN installation kit, trimmed the 4 tabs around the slot with my dremel and it fit like a glove. Will try to remember to add pictures later. Will update if I have any issues.

good buy, make sure your vehicle doesn't need the memory for the car settings
I bought this for my 2004 Chevy Impala LS. I got this refurbished, so was a real good deal. There is a large variance in prices and I felt this did all that I wanted under $100! I haven't tested the Android phone, but the Bluetooth was easy to pair it. The phone book didn't work, but not sure if it is my phone or the radio.I needed to buy the harness and antenna adapter. I used Metra Axxess ASWC-1 Universal Steering Wheel Control Interface that didn't have the required information, so tech support was called. All settings seem to work after being programmed.Make sure you don't need the memory for the steering wheel. I apparently needed the stock radio to make the car settings work (door lock, headlights on after keys removed, etc.).

Not Bad for the Money
First unit I returned because unit would not pickup phone calls. Bluetooth had issues and was unresponsive trying to access received calls. Installation was simple and fit perfectly. Sound quality was far better than the factory unit (Nissan).

Wife loves it, no more nagging.
Great radio for the price. This radio has great perks and they all work. Ease of installation was high. This one went in a saturn vue and was a perfect fit.
