Great quality book

I have been preparing to sit for a ASIS CPP exam and this is one of the resources I have been using to supplement the Protection of Assets (POA) manual. I have now read most sections relevant to the CPP exam and the content has been outstanding. After reading the entire POA I then read The Complete Guide for CPP Exam Prep by Anthony DiSalvatore. The POA provided me with the basic, albiet very broad and deep knowledge of the domains covered by the exam. The DiSalvatore book covered most topic areas of the POA but in a condensed form, focusing on what that author views as the most pertinent sections, as well as more intense focus on certain areas than even the POA. I've now moved on to this book and it has provided me yet another twist on covering the domains included in the exam. What I like about it is that, like the DiSalvatore book, Fischer focuses on all of the domains in the POA but with their own spin on how to explain the technical aspects of some of the material. It has provided me with better understanding of the same content but using a different approach, as with the DiSalvatore book. And it does this while simultaneously remaining consistent with the standards and metrics outlined in the ASIS POA. In fact, the back blurb specifically cites the book as an aide to studying for ASIS CPP exam, reinforcing the fact that the material in this book complements rather than contradicts the foundations of the security management field, as defined by ASIS. This is important to me as I want my knowledge to be in line with the ASIS standards and not confuse me when I do sit for the test.Why 4 stars and not 5? Honestly, I don't recall reading a book with so many typographical errors. I can't fathom how a publishing company let this book go to print in the condition it is in. Otherwise, insofar as content, this book is top notch as either an intro text for the beginning student, or as a complement to studying for the ASIS CPP exam.
