Bought these Ernie Ball’s to try a different string gauge and to down tune for playing Doom Metal. I’ve had EB strings in the past and always liked their durability, ease of use and general flexibility. These burly slinky’s are superb. Very impressed with them. They hold their tune and can take a bit of abuse with string bends etc.So far so good, very pleased with and happy with the great price. Nice one!

Trust worthy product, value for money is spot on. I like the quality of sound with these when they’re freshly put on - and the packaging is something I like about Ernie Ball. Great fit for my guitar and versatile to use on any guitar.

9.5 is the perfect gauge for me. You wouldn't think .5 would make any real difference, but they feel much better than a regular 9 gauge and are perfect if you don't like the extra rigidity of 10 gauge strings. Great value for the three pack I bought as well.

Good set of strings for a great price. Compared to other strings from D'addario, Gibson, and Elixer, these strings are a much better value since they are so cheap. However, in all the years that I have been playing, I have not once said, "man this guitar is great, what kind of strings are these?" Great guitars play and sound great, period, given of course that you are using at least decent strings. I know that every guitarist has their go-to strings, as do I (and the brands and styles vary across each of my guitars), but honestly strings are strings. These days, so much attention is paid to the manufacturing of these strings, that the quality and consistency is great across a number of different brands. Generally, I can't tell much of a difference in tone, playability, or "slinky-ness" across brands. (I can hear the groans now) Hear me out though, if I want to change the tone, I will get a different string gauge, and this is the same for slinkyness. In the end, given 5 sets of top notch strings, I will pick the fresh set vs. a worn set 10 times out of 10.Pros:Very cheap for 3 sets of strings, that means you can change more often, which in turn means that these strings will feel and sound better longerI feel like they definitely last longer than say Gibson vintage strings, but most coated, modern strings will be comparable.Cons:NoneConclusion:Strings are strings, and given a good set of strings, I would only base this recommendation on price and great value (5 stars for that). If you are just starting out, I recommend you try a number of different strings to find your preference, but usually in a pinch whatever my local shop has on hand has worked just fine

These strings are GREAT! They feel amazing while playing, since they are 9s they are very light which means I’m able to get some good bends in my playing. They sound amazing from the very beginning of me putting the strings on. Great strings, no complaints

I have used these guitar strings for a number of years now, they sound great, stay in tune well when using alternative tuning, tremolo bar dips etc.on the back it lists a plethora of other musicians that use the strings. They do for one reason, they are fantastic to use.

Just what I needed! Absolutely perfect on my Les Paul guitar, the skinny top heavy bottoms are perfect if you’re looking for a set of strings with a heavy bottom end, but lighter top ending for easy bending, highly recommend!

I've been a professional musician for more than fifty years. Ernie ball products especially strings have been one of my go to brands, ovemost of my career. They sound good, they feel good, they are durable and reliable and I highly recommend them.

Incredibly difficult to play but they sound great, they are tough, there is no limit for bending.

Earnie balls are classics. I've never had any issues with them. Sounds crisp and new as long as the other guys.
