Jetboil Fuel Can Stabilizer for Jetboil Camping Stoves

This can stabilizer works great. Folds up pretty compactly when not in use, and hooks onto the fuel can very strongly - enough so that you can pick up the can and shake it around and this thing doesn't fall off. Best I've managed to do without intentionally knocking it around a bit was getting one leg unhooked from the bottom, but the moment I set it down the fuel can seated itself again. It is highly resistant to tipping over, and extends the footprint of the can to a pleasing extent for those who are in any way concerned about fire/fuel safety. The plastic feels pretty durable, and while I haven't taken it on an extended trip yet, I would say that barring severe abuse this thing will probably outlast me if I want it to. While not "strictly" a necessity, I would recommend this to anyone who uses outdoor cooking gas, if only because this kind of safety is worth much more than the few bucks I paid for it.

I needed an extra gas canister stand. I have used other brands, but they did not reliably stabilize my stove. I have a Jetboil stove that came with a stand. Since I needed another stand for a different brand of stove, I ordered the stand that just works. I will never order or use another brand of stand.

Does not fit all fuel cans. Larger openings where the edge of the can sits would be helpful, or perhaps a more flexible type of material.

Well designed, lightweight and compact, it fits most isobutane camping canisters, raising them just slightly off substrate base. The highly visible orange color is appreciated in the backcountry.

I personally use this in combination with another stove system that is attached to the top of the iso butane canister. I purchased this product so that the whole system was a little bit more stable on top of rocky terrain. The only part of the product that actually touches the system is the iso butane fuel canister so we can be used with other systems to get a little bit more stability.

Folded, it's smaller than I expected. Legs fold out easily and they attach to a canister effortlessly: 1. Open the legs, rest against bottom of canister 2. Flip it all over and pull on the inner triangle point at each leg in turn around the rim Don't try to put the canister into each leg, that won't work well. Each leg extends out about 2 3/8" beyond the edge of my MSR IsoPro 3.9 oz 110g canister. Leg tips are 7" apart from each other when extended. Canister sits about 1/2" above flat ground level. Orange color makes it easy to find if it gets away from you. Don't know why I didn't get one sooner.

This works exactly as it advertises. I was surprised when it arrived how small the package was. It folds into a little triangle the fits into my little food kit easily. Weight is negligible. Very happy.

Nicely made fuel canister base so that the pot and stove stays upright. I tend to use wider pots so they are a bit wobbly. This does the job perfectly.

As the Jetboil is tall I have nearly kicked it over several times and is very unstable on uneven ground. I wrongly bought a cheap stand that would not fit into the Jetboil so I kept having to go hunting for it in my rucksack. After a few months of getting annoyed I decided to treat myself and bought this one. Fits with the pot stand, small fuel can and burner into the Jetboil cup, so you have your stove and pot all together. Don't see the logic of saving a few £ when you have a good quality stove, you may as well have a good quality Stabilizer as well. With the added bonus that they fit inside perfectly (unlike the cheaper makes)

Utilisé avec un jetboil, correspond parfaitement. Très utile pour garantir la stabilité de l’ensemble. Je le recommande !
