Zoom Q2n-4K Handy Video Recorder (Black)

The media could not be loaded.  Zoom Q2n 4K - like the title says, it serves my purpose of recording meetings, since I am into Management. I will not go in detail into the detailed technical features since there are lots of videos on YouTube, instead I will share my experience with the device.The video and audio recordings of meetings on a 20 feet by 12 feet conference hall with about 6 people seated came out quite clear. I tried recording some mini clipping of Music played from my Home theatre, and I was very happy with the outcome of this small device. 96 khz 24 bit and 4k 30fps recordings were also awesome. Remember this setting will fill your memory card in my case Samsung 256gb card very soon. The device had absolutely no issues writing on to it in 4k 30 fps 96 kHz recording. No shut off or reboot. The video clarity is pretty good in day light and even in conference halls with adequate lighting. This unit travels with me in my office bag. I have added an Ulanzi VL49 RGB to the kit, in case any situation demands extra lighting.The only down side I feel is that the battery power consumption is very very high. A brand new AA SIZE Duracell ultra will be drained in 10 to 15 mins and recording will stop. There is no inbuilt battery. However you can continuously power the unit using a power bank or directly from a mobile phone charger. Now, I carry a power bank for this unit exclusively. Manufacturer could have added a protective case exclusively for this device since it has an odd triangular pyramid kind of shape for which you do not get any after market cases that can suit. The unit is feeble, it will definitely get damaged even if you drop it down accidentally, so you have to handle it with utmost care. The lock mechanism in the plastic battery case is very flimsy, so extra care has to be taken. Even though the unit can rest on its own in any flat surface you definitely need a mini tripod to be carried along to direct towards any direction you need. Copying data is very easy, I usually remove the SD card and copy it to my laptop directly which is faster. I can recommend this unit for anyone who wants to document any event. However if only audio recording is your requirement then zoom 6, which I also use, could be considered, where you cannot record video. I have used the unit for a week and given my opinion. In case I come across any other issues I will definitely update this review. So far, good!

A normal webcam will be better than this. You can easily get a webcam for INR 1000. But the camera quality is not good at all. The concept is good but it would have been worth buying only if it had a good camera.

A must have for recording with amazing quality of sound compared to any other music camera - The feature for musicians is one can have 4K video shot with Line in input straight from output of your audio workstation or any music instrument - yes - Display is small but not a hurdle to have this - can connect a hdmi monitor or Television screen - instead of battery , you can use the charging cable or set it up with any power banks to have unlimited power and lastly - in full light yes the images and video quality is grainy but under good light - it’s great quality

Wonderfully simple to set up and use, works well with USB power banks and will switch to the internal AA batteries whilst you swap over the power banks!Sound quality is so good - I've hardly had to post-process any for Youtube etc. The image quality tends to have a lot of noise grain unless you use incredibly bright lighting.Overall very simple to use and great sound quality!

It was working fine now when I connect it to my computer it does not come up with select card anymore in fact it just brings power to the Q2N 4K so cannot open it to upload my videos to my computer anymore. I brought this to start up my YouTube again have spent about £1900 now so am fuming the Q2N now don't work anymore. Before you ask brand new surface laptop go £699.

Using it as a webcam and it's perfect.

I have a number of Zoom products, and for the most part think they work well. The Zoom H4 and H4n are good products that record great audio. Their guitar pedals are not bad either.So this camera.... has good sound, which makes sense, but pretty dismal picture quality, no matter the setting or light source. It is invariably grainy, even at 4k. I have used it both as a standalone recording device and a webcam, and regardless of where you have it; indoors, outdoors, daytime, nighttime, the picture quality is grainy. It's a small lens, which is probably why, but don't be fooled into thinking "4K" means fantastic picture quality, because it doesn't; it just means seeing that graininess at incredibly high resolution.Another thing to consider before purchasing: LOTS of reports (there's a whole FB group) about USB connections coming loose and being unusable on this thing. The company will replace the camera if this happens, but a) then you're out a camera for however long, and b) how on earth is that sustainable business model? If even 25% of your cameras are getting returned for a faulty design, don't you wanna fix that right away before it costs more than it's worth to you? It's a frustrating mystery.One solution people have found is to buy a magnetic cable so that the actual attachment stays in the port the whole time and you're just disconnecting via magnet. People have also duct-taped and hot-glued their cables to their cameras.

This camera does not do the night vision like it says. It's basically junk. Don't waste your money on it like I did. It doesn't do what they say it does.
