Good value fast shipping
Same as the ones I bought 30 years ago. Well made and great price. I was impressed at how fast this shipped and arrived. Yes it is made in China for an Austrian company. But so were the ones I bought years ago, which have held up well

Great for chopping weeds and small shrubs!
Perfect for chopping tough weeds and small shrubs. If you have tough weedy plants, and tough soil, get this heavy duty grub hoe and put away your whimpy garden hoe. I ordered the Seymour brand handle at the same time, and the combined shipping cost was quite reasonable. The hardwood handle, offered by the same vendor, should last forever. It and the blade are a perfect match. The blade and handle actually weigh less than I expected, and it shouldn't be too tiring swinging this tool for long periods of time. The photo on the Web makes the blade look narrow. But, it is 4 1/2 inches wide, and seems to be about the right size for chopping tough weeds. The 60 inch handle is far more comfortable than having to bend over using a mattock. However, the grub hoe won't completely replace a mattock for the toughest shrubs.

PERFECT FOR SMALL WORK
This tool head is very small, smaller than you think. It worked really well for spot areas removing roots, but not something you can use for large areas. The dimensions are taken from behind the handle, not just blade area. So be careful. It is light enough for a smaller person to raise and strike with adequate force, it can do some real damage to roots if you keep it sharp enough. It does come with a screw to fasten to your handle, I don't use it because I'd like to use one handle for two heads. I would recommend this tool for anyone that does gardening or needs a specialized tool for removing roots, tilling soil and or clearing out swales of sediment. The curved shape is very useful and the reinforcements make this a tool one I'll surely have for a lifetime.

Heavy Duty!
They just don’t make them like this anymore. This sucker is awesome! Made a short handle for it over the weekend. Going to give it a go tomorrow

Good hoe head
Good hoe head but not as sturdy as the ones made 80 years ago.

So it looks nice, but the heart of the tool i
I had been familiar with this hoe for some time and finally decided to buy one. Mine was made in China rather than Austria. The blade was well formed and executed well, BUT the steel is soft. So it looks nice, but the heart of the tool i.e. the quality of the steel is lacking. I wish it were hardened properly and then it would be great. I wouldn't buy this hoe again.

Valuable tool
Unfortunately, you won’t find this tool at the your local hardware store. Which is a shame. Great for gardening in tough or imperfect soil. The hoe is heavy and can be used to rip sod, clobber weeds. The narrow 4” blade makes it useful for tight areas. The long handle available from the same company is easier on your back.
