Can you use them with a dslr? The answer is yes although they're aren't many applications where it would be practical to tbh; I would not attempt to clamp this to a light stand or anything that isn't a flat sturdy surface. It doesn't open super far in the first place. It did hold my Nikon D850 on a table but I only did a short test with it; I can't imagine many DSLR use cases for this unless you're hanging it from wood or something without another way. It might handle it; but I probably wouldn't put my camera upside down on anything that didn't screw into the surface it'd be living on. Below is my actual usage.The clamps have a reliable grip unlike many similar products. I've been using them as makeshift webcam stands (upside down for years) and putting my phone up (with a mag tripod adapter) to go up against my gaming chair. Its uses are niche because it only opens a little bit, but the grip is extremely reliable as far as I've seen thus far.

These are great clamps to throw camera or lights on and be able to place them anywhere temporarily or permanently. I use them for streaming and absolultey love them.

Wow! I am impressed! Here's why I love these clamps:First, these clamps are overall well made, and feel solid and study. The spring clamp is strong and grips hard. The clamp jaws are padded with plastic to prevent damage to whatever you clamp to. The business part of this is the red collar and locking screw. This locks firmly when you need it to lock. Howeve the BEST part is that the red collar spins around when the locking screw is loose. This is handy because you can spin the collar around so that the locking screw is located where it's easiest to tighten and loosen. This is a seemingly simple thing but is a great feature. Finally, it is great to see that the red collar is attached to the spring clamp with a pair of screws. This is better than the attachment being welded, glued, or pressed on because this means you can fix it if it breaks, remove it, reinstall it, or whatever. You may never need to do that, but the use of the two screws are just a better attachment method than anything else that would be difficult to repair.Getting two of these for about $10 is a GREAT value.

Had to return as it wasn't staying on my wooden table, but this would work on a different table. Built well and holds a good weight for items you want to mount!

I use them to mount cameras and also camera lights they work awesome!

The clamp was a little too big for my space and got in the way of my monitor under the shelf that I wanted to clip the clamp to. But it can be easily modified to attach to a magnet found at home depot, where a piece of sheet metal can then be mounted to a surface so this can be magnetically installed and removed easily, without the clamp.If you take off the clamp, there is a hole in the center of the two screws that normally hold the ball joint thing to the clamp. The hole is not threaded, but perfectly accepts a 1/4-20" tap without any drilling. After threading the hole, it can then be mounted to a shelf, magnet or anything you want with a 1/4" bolt, I chose to mount it to a magnet so I could easily remove it.
