Excellent Headset, Comfortable, good call quality
Nice Headset, good voice and sound quality. I purchased the headset to address an issue I was having with a herniated disc and holding the phone was making it worse. I initially ordered the CS540 but did not like the way the ear gels fit and the headset always felt like it was going to slip off. The CS530 feels similar to my Plantronics Voyager Legend (a bit larger). I walk around the office a lot and felt the CS530 stayed in place better. Amazon/MMExpress were awesome in processing my return. Once I submitted the request I had the Return Label / RMA and once I dropped it off at the local UPS office I was notified of the credit to my account. I ordered the CS530 after I completed the return and actually received the Headset the next day...AWESOME Service, Amazon Prime is worth every penny! The Handset lifter works great with our office phones (Toshiba DTK 3220-SD), I still have to select the open line on the phone to dial out but the lifter is a worthwhile feature. Plantronics has an Automated phone adjustment number to dial in to which I wasn't too crazy about and found it was better to dial in to a live person for the feedback to optimize the adjustment of the phone settings (Volume, Speaking Volume, Clarity of the call to the person being called).

Great, better than the Sennheiser model
We bought two of these for work. They work well and the battery lasts all day (8 hours) for us. We only use them for about 5-10 minutes of talk time per hour, and charge them at night. It can be a little tricky to get the earpiece to actually get seated on the charger, but that's being picky. The earpiece fits in the ear very comfortably and snugly without having to customize the shape of the clip at all.For comparison, we also tried the OfficeRunner from Sennheiser, and it kinda sucked. The Sennheiser's earpiece was shaped terribly because it has a huge bulging piece that's supposed to go in your ear, but it's so big, it kind of rests up against your ear. The part that goes over your ear feels very loose and floppy so the whole thing doesn't feel very secure. I definitely recommend getting this Plantronics one instead.

Big Improvement Over My Old Plantronics Unit
I bought this because I wanted something more comfortable than units that have the batteries in front of the ear and pull downward trying to rotate forward on my ear. This unit is very comfortable to wear. I did change from the original piece that fits in your ear because it would itch after a while to one of the ones that was included (the milky-color silicone choice). That improved comfort greatly and I can wear it for hours without taking it off. Also, the range is much better than my old unit. I can pass through a door opening in a masonry shear wall and continue 50' farther before losing connection. Going to the lunch room when muted in a large conference call so I don't miss anything is no issue. It was very easy to connect. The phone lifter hasn't changed, so if you have an older Plantronics unit, don't bother buying the phone lifter - you can just change a couple wire plug locations. I am in and out of my office a lot, so it often is in its cradle; but it is comfortable enough to wear all day.The only disadvantages I have found is that it is a little tricky putting it on wearing glasses. I need reading glasses when at my computer (bifocals in other situations) and getting the battery part set correctly behind your ear takes a little practice unless you remove your glasses, put it on, and replace the glasses. This unit lifts the handset as soon as you pull it out of the cradle, which saves on missed calls coming back into your office (great); but also means that you need to get it on quickly or their are a few seconds of silence at the other end.FYI - Plantronics makes one slightly more attractive earpiece-base station combination, which of course costs more but I think has the same performance. If you want the coolest looking item (this already looks like Locutus of Borg's equipment, which I think is great!) and have the cash, that might be your preference.

Great unit as long as you don't need to mute often
I work from home so I have quite a few conference calls. Battery life, range and clarity are great. The lifter works perfectly. My only complaint is that this particular model is hard to mute. You have to hold the volume down button for a whole second to mute/unmute and the button takes too much force for being pressed against your ear. Given that it takes a second for the mute feature to activate/deactivate, you can't respond quickly if someone on a call asks you a question. Another odd trait is despite being plugged into the same cord as the traditional handset with the included adapter/splitter, the mute button on the phone itself doesn't mute the headset with my particular phone model (which is hard to understand since the handset still mutes). BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY IN THE BACKGROUND OF AN IMPORTANT WORK CALL BEFORE TESTING THE MUTE FUNCTIONALITY ON YOUR SETUP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It is a good investment, because Plantronics makes good solid equipment for ...
I have been using this headset at work (retail pharmacy) for a year now & it has saved my neck and shoulder. I was having severe pain and headaches due to constant use of the telephone, and my physician said it was time to use a wireless headset. I can multi-task while on the phone, and even walk out into the store to find items for customers while on the phone. The headset stays off the charging base for most of my 8-10 hour shift, and I replace it at the end of the day. It's always charged up and ready to go the next day. The earpiece is strong & I can normally hear my calls without any problem. I no longer have the pain in my neck and shoulder. This is a must for anyone who is constantly on the telephone. It is a good investment, because Plantronics makes good solid equipment for a fair price (especially through Amazon).

Large, awkward earpiece. Lifter does not work consistently.
Nice concept. the earpiece is quite large and is awkward to put on and to use. The "lifter" only lifts about 60 to 70 percent of the time, often requiring two or three attempts. Transmits sounds well when it works to lift the phone off the base. Good sound, no trouble with hearing or being heard.

ease of use, and battery longevity
I use this handset in my home, and I can answer a call anywhere in our 2000 Sq. Ft. home, and even outside. I probably am on the phone for perhaps 2-3 hours of talk time per day between 8:00AM - 8:00PM and have never received the low battery warning. Having the handset lifter option is also an essential feature for my use.

All I can say is WOW!!
I had corded sets that I thought were good but this headset blows all the others away. It's so comfortable i'll put it on in the morning and won't take it off until the end of the day at 4'00pm
