Q: Has anyone used the water filtered with this device for their espresso machine. And if so, what is your experience and recommendation?

Yes, I use the water from this filter with my Rancilio Sylvia. Espresso pulled from this machine using the filtered water is great, no issues.

Q: Can the faucets handle be re-positioned? - (the 'on - off' lever is in a weird position, & needs to be rotated.)

The handle can be placed wherever you want, the spout rotates easily. Our was installed professionally (along with other more complicated components) and they positioned the handle so that you used your right hand to turn it on. We prefer to hold the glass/pitcher in our right, so turn the handle with left hand. It only took a couple of minutes to unscrew the nut holding it in place, rotate 180 degrees and retighten.

Q: Can I reverse the stage 1 and stage 2 in the unit to match my plumbing better? [reversing in/out cables of course] The unit looks symmetric.

Probably but caution check all connectors otherwise you will have leaks. Plus the unit doesn't last 5 it last for us 4 years. Could be our harder water. Not sure. The sides seem exactly the same. Don't see why you can't switch.

Q: Do you need to use a dedicated faucet? Or, can this be used with my existing faucet?

You need to buy the faucet. It comes with the first seat of filters. It is not a household filter system.
