SPF 45 LIPCotz - 4.5 gm

This is my second tube. I love it. I had cancer on my lips and treated with chemo cream. Awful experience. My dermatologist told me most sunblock lip balms contain an ingredient that causes cancer. In my case, it kept aggravating a lip sunburn that never would fully heal. I have been using this sun protection and Badger since. Badger unfortunately is white and I look weird ... and dead! Found this and it has a tint. And no harmful ingredients. Just zinc. After 4 years my lips are still awesome with no problems ever!! Will never ever use any of the other lip glosses either. They are addictive. Only use Aquaphor in the winter. Finally I can eat corn off the cob!!! :)

I read the product ingredients on the Amazon description and was excited to find a sunscreen product with so few ingredients. I was horrified when it arrived and I read the list of "Inactive Ingredients" the first three in the list: Alumina, Aluminum Hydroxide, Aluminum Stearate all Aluminum derivatives, all of which I avoid using , Aluminum can interfere with magnesium in the body and aluminum is also linked to Alzheimer's. I'll never buy this again and won't use the one I did buy. This is a great lip sunblock for somebody who spends a lot of time in the sun or on, in, or near the water. It's texture is smooth but sort of dry but not *drying*. It is actually nearly exactly skin tone, which I find a bit odd, though. You'd think if they added pigment, it would have been more *lip* toned instead of skin toned. It's still a good product because it provides excellent protection for your lips, and could even be used off label under the eye area, since most sunscreens can't be applied around the eyes due to burning. This is a physical sunblock in lieu of a chemical one, thus won't sting the skin around your eyes.

I've been using this lip block for almost 10 years and like it above anything else I've tried. It is tan colored and easy to apply, stays on all day and protects on even the harshest Florida summer day. It doesn't have that nasty aftertaste that many lip sun blocks do, in fact it doesn't have a taste at all, so it's fine to reapply over again as needed. I just use it all the time now, even as a chap stick. Highly recommend this product!

Still not as good as the old burts bee life guard total lip block, but so far it the best alternative to it that I have found.

I thought natural would be better. Didn't protect my 10 yo son. Blisters. :(

Great for Lip Protection-does not have a bad taste like many others do. Most sunblock lotions leave a bad taste on my tongue and this one does not, even if I eat or drink after applying. This is my go to stuff. Does have a bit of the white stuff in it so you may want a to use lip color also if that matters to you.
