Lazy Man's bead cutter
Considering some negative views about quality, sharpness, burning, I almost passed these up. However, considering the price, I decided to take the plunge. The price for the set of four is appealing since you get four sizes for the price of a Sorby chisel. The chisels perform their task admirably providing the user understands that they are basically scrapers and have to be used as scrapers (handle raised slightly above the cutter). I had no issue with burning unless I got really aggressive and pushed too hard. If one takes their time and let the cutter cut, one can achieve a decent bead quickly. The chisles are not very sharp, but that can be remedied by rubbing the flat side of the chisel a few times over a diamond card sharpener. Overall I am pleased with these chisels.

Really nice bead cutters
I use all 4 for different size projects. Good quality, nice and sharp and I actually love the wooden box it comes in. Happy with this purchase.

Tools are OK for the price, but the finish was definitely lacking.
I like the tool, but as many people mentioned the handles are a bit rough. As the tools were so cheap, did not see replacing the handles. Would have been like putting a VW engine in a new Cadillac. I just chucked them up and sanded down to 220 and applied a couple coats of finish. Problem solved. As far as the tool not being sharp, I have purchase more expensive tools and have always had to sharpen them before use so that is a non-issue.4 stars given due to the roughness of the handles.

fastest international delivery ive had from amazon
very fast international delivery, cheap tool but effective. absolutely did what it said with flying colours. little dull out of the box but easily tuned with a file. and its held the edge after several hrs on redgum, much harder timber than ash and oak. thankyou

You get what you pay for....
In sort, I gave the PSI Woodworking Bead Cutting Lathe Chisel Set 3 stars, because despite the poor quality, I only paid approximately $12.00 per chisel, however, I did expect the handles to be smoother, and the chisels to be inserted straight into the handles. For the longer explanation...In my opinion, this is Harbor Freight quality, and for those of you who do not get that reference - these are tools you probably will not pass down to your children. When I received the package it was undamaged, the tools were in a flimsy wooden box, and each tool was wrapped in its own little clear plastic sheath. I picked up the first one and could tell they were made of cheap materials. The handles not quality made, and are not smooth to the touch, for those of you who turn on a lathe, just imagine turning down to the final shape, skip the sanding, and apply 1 coat of polyurethane to finish - that is about the closest comparison I can make. As for the chisels, I noticed the tangs are not inserted straight into the handle, some are off center, and others are jammed further into the handle than others which has my concerns about how deep the tang actually is. Over all for the price of $12.00 per chisel, I would say it was worth a shot, however, if I decide to keep them as a permanent tool in my collection, I'm going to add Rehandling all 4 of these to my list of projects.

Decent
For the occasional times I do beading these are good. Light weight which doesnt give you that sturdy feeling in your hands like the high dollar stuff but when I can get 4 different sizes for less than the price of one big name, it's a good value.

Easy Bead Making - But ...
The set of 4 bead cutters were delivered in a nicely finished wooden box. Each of the cutters performed well providing nice individual beads. However, none of them could be used to make directly side-by-side beads. This was because of the broad width of the prongs which worked well in forming individual beads but would have interfered with succeeding side-by-side beads. To overcome that restriction, I have removed the excess metal from the outer sides of the prongs (first photo) resulting in them being much slimmer (second photo). Now I can make a series of side-by-side beads without having to space the beads apart.

Adequate for the beginner.
As previously mentioned by others the sidewalls at the business end of the tool are too thick and need to be ground down in order to make a clean bead. Why they continue to do this I do not know.
