Better Co's hardest design!
It's pretty challenging. I normally don't like to use the boxes unless I need them, and I needed it for this one. Even with the box, it took me days! The pieces themselves are kind of thin. I had expected thicker pieces because of other reviews, but I would say these are thin, maybe even a hair thinner than average. The pieces fit together well, and there's a variety of your typical shapes (one tab, two tab, all blanks), but no really unique cuts.Box design and quality are beautiful. Better Co uses a standard box format, so they all look great next to each other! I'm not sure what issue people take with puzzle dust, but there was a little, but not much.Difficulty: 5/5 (box necessary)Picture Quality: 5/5Piece Quality: semi-glossPiece Types: regular, 4-sided with knobs and tabs

Great gift for a couple
It was a surprise Christmas gift for my SO. This was 3 mos into dating so it’s a thoughtful gift but not so sappy. Bonus is that he loves puzzles and this one had a high difficulty level. I spent more than a few days looking up different puzzles and although pricier, I loved the idea behind supporting small artists and the uniqueness of the images available. If you want:1- a challenging puzzle (he said this one was a doozy)2- a way for you to bond and work together without spending money (especially if both of your love languages are “quality time”)3- something to frame later and look back onThis is a phenomenal idea. The box is displayable and has a soft matte finish. I think it’s going to be part of a collection for sure. The puzzle itself is so smooth once it’s done. We put it together on a posterboard so we could make it portable (his idea, he’s the puzzlehead), and there is a “map” to help you compare pieces to the picture. It’s definitely frustrating at times but it forces you to strategize and be patient with yourself. We started this on New Years Day and just finished it last night - so be patient! 😂 And have fun.Ultimately had a 5/5 star time with this and am looking forward to the next one.

Amazing quality and so much fun!!
I LOVED this puzzle!! I did an easy 500-piece puzzle and decided I wanted a more challenging one.... so why I bought a very difficult 1000-piece puzzle, I don’t know. I’m a novice puzzler and since this was my second puzzle, I found it to be incredibly difficult. It took me 6 weeks to complete with working on it an average of 15 hours per week, plus my boyfriend helped me finish it on the last day. So a lot of hard work went into it but the journey was enjoyable. It’s missing a piece but the company has a “missing piece guarantee” so I’ll get a replacement. I definitely just lost the piece, so the company isn’t at fault. All in all it’s great quality, the image is vibrant, and it’s difficult but if it can be done by a novice like me, it can be done by anyone.

Best puzzle purchases ever! Very high quality
Honestly, I consider myself to be a puzzle enthusiast, and this set of puzzles is easily the best I have ever encountered. Not only are the pictures vibrant, colorful, and clear, but the puzzle itself holds itself together amazingly. I finished one, picked it up, brought it around the house to show everyone, and laid it back down in the table. Not a single piece was out of place. The second I finished the first, I ordered the other two because I was confident that I would not be disappointed, and I must say, I have yet to be displeased. The presentation is modern, sleek, and sturdy--much better than I would expect for a puzzle box. There is never any doubt as to whether or not a piece fits, because they are cut with such exact precision. There's very little "puzzle dust" left in the box, which I know can usually make a pretty big mess on the table. All in all, for the low prices these are at right now...buy them. Just buy them. I promise you won't regret it. (Just make sure you're up for the challenge, because these are a *doozy*)

Great puzzle, even better customer service!!!
I know what you are thinking - $25 for a puzzle - Yikes! I did too, but really wanted to try the Milky Way picture. I can say this puzzle is great. Cool picture, challenging, sturdy pieces. I really enjoyed putting it together. The puzzle also comes with a 50% off your next puzzle coupon so if you enjoy it, as I did, you can get other puzzles from Better Co. for half the price. While I enjoyed the puzzle what made it even better was that when I found there was an issue with my puzzle customer service from Better Co was amazing. They responded to my email, through Amazon, with a few hours, apologized for the problem and made it right. Quickly. I couldn't ask for more as a customer. I look forward to getting more of the puzzles from Better Co as I really like the level of difficulty and now that if there is an issue they stand behind their product.

Challenging designs, mediocre quality
The Better Co. puzzles are kind of awesome, if you can look past some superficial flaws. The designs are great. They challenging (gradients, skyscapes, monochromatic) and at 1000 pieces, they are just right. I typically prefer 3000-5000 piece puzzles in order to have a sufficient challenge. But with these designs, the piece count is perfect. Each puzzle includes a small poster of the puzzle image which would be handy, if I used it. The piece shapes are unique, so no false matches, which is helpful with a monochromatic image. I have completed three of these (turquoise/pink gradient, splatter gradient, Milky Way) and I am going to order a few more.Flaws? Some of the pieces are bent or even broken/torn. Sometimes the image is coming off the edges of the pieces. The interlocking of the pieces is good, but not great. The puzzle will stay locked together if you lift it - usually - but it won't lay completely flat. The printed puzzle image is invariably duller, more muted, than the image on the box. So I don't even bother using the box or poster to follow along. For the price, I get enough of a challenge to justify further purchases. But for the price, for a 1000 piece puzzle, I'd prefer a bit better quality. Not that it impacts the joy of solving the puzzle much. But don't expect to be displaying your masterpieces on the wall.
