Very well made - It even smells right.
I have to say that my initial impressions of this Re-Pro FAL chest rig are very good. It has a build quality that is equal to, if not better than British equipment of the Era and WW2 Mil-Surp Canvas stuff. That's a good thing. The Canvas material is quite thick, the stitching are firm and secure. The hardware is a metal D ring that I'm familiar with, they'll hold and not break under any use, unreasonable or otherwise. The ends of the straps are folded and stitched as to not fray. The button snaps are good but after lots of prolonged use I could see them becoming less firm. For the price, you simply can't beat this.Note that it even smells like old surplused gear, that was a big indicator to me that this was going to be good.

One size fits all, and we'll made!
This works well with ar10 mags and is easy to use. Fits me and my waist is a 40", adjustable for thin people too!

Great, needs modern upgrades.
The camo is great and the material is sturdy. It is well made and true to the original, which means you will need to add some velcro and speed buckles in the right places, but when you have finished you will have a top-notch chest rig. I like mine and would buy it again.

Great for ar-10
I bought this for my ar-10 chambered in .308 and it works great for my steel 20 round mags but pmags are a little to long to fasten the snaps, good quality and holds up well

Button snaps snap off
Cool pouch, great for beer cans and FAL mags, but the button snaps are too damn tight and the plastileather is too damn weak, you'll rip the snap-on right off if you get physical with it.No big deal, just means you better not flop ass over teakettle anywhere if you got precious cargo in your rig.Otherwise it's a simple one-size-fits-most chest rig and it's reasonably priced.

Well made simple chest rig.
Holds 4 G3 magazines, so there should be no issues holding 4 M14/M1A1 or 4 FAL magazines. It is well stitched and the canvas seems tough. It is comfortable to wear loaded once you get it adjusted. I think it will last for a long time. (My days of rolling around the mud are over). If you shop around the world wide web you can find it a little cheaper. If it was cheaper (hint hint) ... now that I know they are well made, I would order another one. If you are thinking about ordering two, Amazon has two for around $40. If I could do it over again, I would have done that.

Trash, do not buy.
Very low quality, doesn't work well , not worth 5 dollars much less 30.

It serves the exact need and has a strong resemblance to its historical counterpart
The Rhodesian chest rig is one of the grand daddies of modern rigs. This thing is dirt cheap and RUGGED. The tough canvas will hold up to decades of abuse. It's easy to clean and maintain.I will say that some "upgrades" could help, from a user standpoint. Installing/adding a clip instead of the buckle ties around the back attachment point would go a long way to reducing dress time. But that's a matter of preference. I doubt many people are actually taking this into combat these days, so that's not an issue. You're buying this for historical accuracy and that's exactly what it provides.
