Plate switches

Well made switch, easy to wire. Looks good.

I love the look of these switches, they were easy to fit and look lovely. I've had them fitted in the kitchen for just over a year, being a kitchen it does get quite a lot of use but I am disappointed in how the surface has scratched (other two havent as they were under counter lights and I never replace the bulbs!). Although I think they look lovely and are reasonably priced compared to many on the market, I don't really want to replace switches every year!

Thought I'd freshen up the light switch in our newly painted kitchen and have not been disappointed with this screwless mocha bronze design from Schneider. My top tip is to take a photo of the old switch's wiring before removing it. It makes replacing it with the new switch so much easier and you have something to refer to when have a bundle of wires hanging out the wall. The Schneider switch is well made and the bronze facial comes off easily enough by inserting a small screwdriver in the side holes. The connections on the back are large enough to hold 3 wires each and the screw clamps hold the wires firmly in place. The fixing screws supplied are a little short, so I reused the original screws to attach it to the back box in the wall. The great thing is the face plate covers the old screws up. The switches themselves have a good firm click action and probably make it harder for little ones to flick the lights on and off, when they can reach the socket. Overall a good price for a quality switch, that looks great.
