Grass and Weed Killer with Root Kill, Ready-to-Use Concentrate Herbicide, 1.3 Gal

came upon this weed killer a couple of years ago, after trying numerous other well known brands, that never gave me positive results. This one does as it says. Spray in AM and they are down by PM. Works on vines as well, at least better than the other brands. Doesn't always completely kill the vine plant, but sure negates the runners and popups.

I needed a natural weed and grass killer for my yard and wooded area, wanting to avoid the chemicals in the more popular weed and grass killers. This works very well and I’m comfortable with the safety of using it. Easy to use sprayer. No need for a large sprayer to carry around, the size was perfect.

I had heard a lot of great things about this product so I had high expectations. There are a lot of bad reviews, but mainly due to the bottle not operating so they did not deter me from giving this a try. They should have. Not because my bottle didn’t work because it did. Worked as expected, but the product did not work. It says to allow 5 days. In the 5 days, while parts of the weeds looked like they dried up the weeds themselves are still flourishing. They just grew new shoots around the dried parts. The sad part is I sprayed the weeds quite liberally. To the point I was concerned I sprayed too much and may have damaged the actual plants that are supposed to be there. Very sad. Now I have to find something else to conquer these weeds. Weeds = 1, Me = 0

UPDATE: I did find the company's information and contacted them explaining the problem. They responded quickly on the next business day to correct the issue, requested my address, and sent a new sprayer & hose component w/ batteries through standard mail. The replacement part works well and is void of any corrosion or other defects. While waiting for the replacement part I used the remainder of a similar product I had tried previously alongv with Natria (Captain Jacks Dead Weed Brew). In the end I couldn't distinguish a significant difference between either and both worked as expected compared to a glyphosate-based herbicide. Some established weeds required a second application from both products, but I expected this & keeping in mind which weeds each item is able to target. One or two applications dried the tough weeds enough to allow them to be removed. This is still a chemical to use cautiously and follow recommendations! I changed to 4 stars for great customer follow-up and effective product. The faulty part delayed task completion ~~~~~~~~~~ Just received the item and immediately discovered the battery operated sprayer is defective. In the attempt to check the batteries I found at least 2 of the included batteries were heavily corroded as well as one other looking compromised. It takes 4 AA batteries. New replacements didn't work as well because at least one of the contact springs were also corroded. The $30+ item is useless as is. I'm tentative in using a separate sprayer I can fill with the contents until I get feedback from Natria customer support. As it's the wknd - when people tend to do yardwork- I shouldn't expect any response until business hours. I hate using any herbicide, but I've used this brand before and the results were ok within the group of "safer" herbicides. Definitely safe if it can't be used! I question if the item I purchased was the only in the lot that is defective. For now I would be cautious in ordering until this issue is resolved. I will update accordingly following the company's customer service response to correct the issue.

The product itself works great as I have used it several times. However, the problem this time was with the container/sprayer. I bought three gallons. Corroded batteries had to be replaced in all. The first two never worked; the last one finally worked so I will have to interchange the sprayer. (I worked on it for two hours; a male neighbor worked for another two hours which resulted in wasted time.

I did voluminous internet research before I bought this product, as I have always used RoundUp Pro Concentrate. But Roundup takes several days to kill the weed. Natria was highly rated in several competitions, and it guaranteed that it killed most weeds within 15 minutes, and doggone it, it DOES!!! My next purchase will be the larger spray version as I now know that this product is effective and efficient.

I used this product to kill weeds in my gravel driveway. It did so quickly and effectively. Within an hour of application many weeds showed signs of distress, and by the next day were clearly dead or dying. I chose this product on the recommendation of a local garden center that has a reputation for its environmental concerns and knowledge. The product is basically a detergent - ammoniated fatty acids. It does not appear to last long where sprayed, as I found that new weeds germinated within a week of spraying. The product supposedly also has an inhibitor to prevent new weeds from growing (maleic hydrazide). However I'm guessing that it breaks down quickly since new weeds grew in the same areas that I sprayed. I prefer to hand weed where I can, but feel comfortable using this product when hand weeding is impracticable.

Initial leaf burn was visible but as far as weed control it seems to have stopped there. After a few weeks the weeds, roots and all sent out new growth - slowed growth for those weeks but now as prevalent as ever. Initially it seemed a good alternative to potentially detrimental chemical control.
