Doing Research in Design Paperback – June 1, 2012

I was looking for a book on doing research to imform design for my college sophomore design school class. This book is written as a post graduate college text.I wish it was written in more accessiblelanguage for undergraduate design studens.The information could have just as easily been put in fewer more common words and gotten the points across just as clearly, (even more clearly to Sophmore design students), than in its current scholarly version. However, I think a second book geared toward design school under-grad students would be very useful.Although I feel it is unnecessarily difficult to read, it does contain some really good information. The book looks at research from a point more relevant to today's product designers than many of the ones geared more towards business/marketing majors.Unfortunately. I will not pick this one for use in my class where I have many students just a year out of high school and many from foreign countries who, although they are proficient in english, would find this book difficult and confusing. My search continues.....

Interesting stuff and well written

A rigorous and essential book for anyone in design practice, industry or education. Doing Research in Design is easy to read with an emphasis on the clarification of processes, research methodology and their associated frameworks. A recommended text or PhD companion.

Best there is on the topic!! If you're considering doing any form if research in design, this is the go-to book.

I didn't like.
