Amerex 322, 5lb CO2 Fire Extinguisher with Chrome Plated Brass Valve & Wall Hanger

The Amerex 5lb CO2 fire extinguishers are highest quality I've ever seen. They seem to have an ecesssive up front cost but leaves no residue. CO2 is non-toxic, safe to use on live electrical fires, petrol and diesel fires. In tight spaces, shops or at source engine blocks, fueling/storage areas, this is a great choice. Review title: I overlooked Pro-Distributing shipping policy requiring a signature for delivery missed it first time but was re-delivered next day. When contacting Customer Support at Pro-Distributing about the confusion they returned via internal Amazon messaging almost immediately even late in the day and brought to my attention. CS was professional and clear explaining Co. policy that depending on declared value of item(s) signature may be required for delivery. *****+ stars to Pro- Customer Support for quickly addressing my concern and Amazon CS for connecting me with them. Lastly the intial assessment of this high quality Amerex product I am completely satisfied. Highest recommendations for Pro-Distributing fasssst shipping and super nice people if you ever had questions about an order!

Can't afford halon any longer. Next best thing if you don't want to cover everything with white powder (damages electronics).

I bought this because it's CO2.You can you's it indoors without having fire retardent all over everything.Powder extinguishers need to be refilled even after a quick 2 second shot.

Exactly what I needed since I have a laser engraver/cutter. It's a bit expensive, but definately falls in the category of you get what you pay for. In this case, excellenece.

Purchased to have for my Turbine Jet. Have not had to use it yet, but it came quickly without any issues.

This is the first time I needed a CO2 extinguisher and did a fair amount of research and shopping online. The 5 pound size will serve my needs well. Note that when you go to a 10 pound unit, the price goes up considerably, as does physical size, so make the determination for size first. Also understand that whenever an extinguisher is used it should be recharged as soon as possible. Nothing worse than reaching for an empty, or nearly empty one when you need it. Lastly, understand the basics of extinguishers, their applicability and limitations.

To be clear, you should know what each type of fire extinguisher is good for. My favorite is a type K (for kitchens - cute isn't it, "K"). Most common will be dry chemical ABC. So when I see this vendor say you can't return a CO2 bottle because it's hazardous (but completely fine to sell and ship) - I put 2 and 2 together. I actually needed a CO2 extinguisher (dry chemical is a mess) so it doesn't bother me. What does both me is tamper seal was received violated. (See picture). (P.S. the hazard CO2 presents is oxygen displacement (which combined with cooling is great for some types of fires), so apparently the physical properties of compressed plant food/the byproducts of your own breath) completely change with the direction of the delivery truck.)
