Fab Pump, Superb Performance
Bought this submersible pump to empty our hot tub on the back of reviews. Wow it didn't disappoint at all, great little pump, emptied our hot tun in 15mins. Ok it leaves a little water but that's easy mopped up. I used a 1-1/2" lay flat hose (30m long) and a rise of about 2m. I bought a full bore adapter to fit onto the pump to maximise flow rate although you can use the adapter supplied, probably need to cut the smaller sections of to avoid flow restriction. Can't say how well it works with smaller hose sizes but given its power I would imagine it would still be good. Overall great wee pump and good value for money.

Works brilliantly – drained my hot tub in no time!
I used the Veaton portable water pump to drain my Lay‑Z‑Spa, and it worked perfectly. Setup was really simple, and it started pumping water out almost instantly. It drained the whole tub much faster than I expected — a huge time-saver compared to doing it manually or waiting for gravity to do the job! The pump is compact but powerful, and it comes with everything you need (including hose and attachments). It handled the hot tub water with no issues at all. If you’ve got a hot tub and want a quick and easy way to drain it, I highly recommend this pump. It’s well worth the money and does exactly what it says.

Decent pump for the price
Have only used it for short periods of time and is not left in situ to work automatically. Fairly quiet operation. It takes a short while to get up to full pumping power but once it gets there, it works well. The float switch is OK, but can be a bit fiddly.

Great pump
Bought to deal with a flooded basement. The outlet was approx 1.5M above the pump and it managed it with ease. 4 cubic meters of water in a little over 1 hour. Was dubious as it wasn't the most expensive or brand name; but was easy to set up, the float switch worked well [something of a rarity] and it was powerful enough to do the job I needed done.

Great Pump but make sure to use the right hose
Needed to empty out dirty water from two 1m X 1m X 1.2m deep holes made for soakaways and about 20m of trenches around 900mm deep. Bought a 20m long 1 inch layflat pipe but it didn't reach the drain so added a bit of hose pipe at the end (3m). It took 4 hours to drain the first pit. 9000l per hour? something didn't add up I replaced the hose pipe with a propped up bit of soil pipe I had let the 1 inch pipe drain into that, pump drained the second pit in around 15 mins :). To use this pump properly you must have a minimum 1 inch pipe all the way. Anything narrower is going to choke it and I suspect cause it to burn out. Fantastic pump for the price. Takes A couple of mins to clear out the air but once it get going it's great.

Stopped working. But supplier Fluenttools got in touch and replaced the pump, thank you..
I used this to transfer fresh rain water from a 1000 ltr ibc to the garden. It lasted a few weeks then started buzzing and no water. This is the second one I have bought one lasted 5 months and this one lasted a month! Out of return now so in the bin it goes !!!! UPDATE..... The supplier to be fair to them read the review and contacted me to apologise. They have offered to send me a new pump as its still under 12 month warranty. Very impressed with Fluenttools as a company. I dont like leaving negative feedbacks and on this occasion they have been very helpfull. dont be put off by my feedback as the pumps when working are great and you have the reassurance that its under warranty for a year. Well done Fluenttools and thank you. Paul

Not impressed
9 months ago my pond pump 20 years gave op the ghost. I decided to change my pond layout so I decided to get this pump as a stop gap for 12 months until I had finished my revamp. Admittedly I could be using the pump for none intended purpose but given that it is intended to cope with dirty water containing solids and capable of pumping 8m head height, I thought running in ultra clean water whilst ansuring the head height was never more than 2m that it would be OK. Also, given that there is supposed to be a thermal shut off, if I pushed the pump it should turn off until it cools. After 4 months the pump tripped the breaker, inspection of the pump showed that the impellor was very stiff to turn. I freed it up and all was fine for for a further 4 months (8 months in total). Now the pump is no longer tripping the breaker but blowing the 13amp fuse in my fuse panel instantly. The impeller shaft solid and I cannot move it manually. Given that the motor is 750w it should pull a little over 3amp maximum so I am very suprised that it instantly blows 13amp fuses whild not tripping the breaker. I am sure if you are just using it to drain something for a couple of hours you will get plenty of use from the pump, but I would not recommend it for anything more than that.
