Blackwing Point Guards - Set of 3, Protects Pencil Points, Mixed Color Pack (Gold, Silver, and Black), Lightweight Machined Aluminum

I love these. They are sturdy and look nice on your pencil. If you paid a little extra for a Blackwing pencil you definitely want to protect the point and keep the professional look. The pencil caps I grew up using, had slits in the side that made them more adjustable to different sized pencils and allowed the cap to go on farther up the pencil. These are not adjustable and you don't need to push the pencil into the point guard very far, which makes new pencils a little long for storing in standard length pencil pouches. Overall, these point guards are beautiful, professional, and useful. I have purchased a set for myself and two friends so far. I give them five stars and plan to purchase more in the near future for carrying various types of pencils. If the price was a little lower, I probably would purchase more faster.

I love these pencil caps so much that I have ordered multiple sets for all my different pencils. These fit most pencils including: Blackwing, Mitsu-bishi, Tombow mono100, Notsu, Ticonderoga, Papermate, General's charcoal, but do not fit Artists Loft Necessities.

Very high quality. I ordered the plain metal one and love it. I use it with Blackwing 602 pencils which are the greatest pencils every created (search them up - people are crazy in a good way about the these pencils). I purchased this cap and also an extender for the Blackwings. The pencils are expensive but worth every penny. with the cap and the extender let me get every inch of use out of the pencil with perfect balance. Could not be happier.

I’m not sure what I was expecting, it works, I don’t expect it to never not work. It is just underwhelming to say the least, for some reason I was expecting something with a little more substance to it. It is nice, and works, but it doesn’t have much weight to it, I almost thought it was plastic when I first took it out. I actually tapped it against my teeth just to ensure it was metal. Like I said, it seems to function great, it preserves my pencil tip which is what I wanted from it, but it isn’t a 5-star item.

It maintains it’s tip

I like to carry pencils in my shirt pocket but I don't like the lead getting on my shirt if I carry it point up, nor do I want lead in the pocket or the point tearing a hole. These are great. They fit my Ticonderoga pencils snugly and I can now carry pencils in my shirt pocket again without any risk of hole, lead mark, or tip breakage. They appear to be authentic as well. Not too light, not cheap feeling, not really heavy at all. Not photographed but was present: silver cover.
