Laguna Sturdy Plastic Square Planting Basket, 6-Inch

Great basket, great price. Holds my plants and soil well naked my pond.

I wanted to plant some small flower bulbs that have a reputation for being a bit invasive. I dug a hole, placed the basket in the hole (top of basket level to ground) and put my bulbs in it. Now if they begin to spread aggressively they will be stopped from being too rambunctious by the basket (yet water and roots can pass through). Want to change bulbs? Lift out the basket. So far the plan has worked well.

These are good quality baskets and handles work great. Easy to use and they look like they should last. I would recommend this product.

I've ordered several of these baskets and are very happy with them. I float them on the top of my pond and aquaponic tanks by simply cutting out a 2-3" frame and sitting the basket in it. I fill them with clay pellets and pop herbs in them. This serves two purposes; helps remove the nitrites and nitrates from the tank and protects the roots form the fish, shades the tank water to help keep algae from growing and keeps the fish from jumping out of the tank. I wouldn't say they are flimsy but they aren't heavy either- they can't be or they wouldn't float. For my setup, this item has resolved a lot of issues.

The item said these were 6 inches in the main heading, but 6 inches wasn’t even an option. The item under size said 10 inches, but I didn’t see that which was my fault. I don’t need the 10 inch size, but not going to send back. It’s a quality 10 inch basket, but I deducted 1 star because the title clearly indicated 6 inches.

Better price than other brands. Is sturdy enough to hold up. Usually I use cheap pots I've stabbed a bunch of holes into. So I like how the roots can grow out and be exposed to the water directly, but you can still keep some soil contained in gravel to add fertilizer tabs if needed.

Not much to say, it serves the purpose.
