SUNKKO 737G+ Battery Spot Welder, Pulse Welding Machine for 18650 14500 Lithium Batteries Battery Pack Work With Nickel Strips 0.35mm,110V - desertcart.com Review: Did not work - it must have been defective because it would not weld the tabs to the battery's I tried all the setting and still nothing. I gave a five star rating because I have sent it back and got a refund and I am very happy and would do business with you again. Thank You Review: It worked ok, until it didnt work at all. - I had this unit and assembled successfully several battery packs. It takes some dialing in to get a decent weld and the electrodes burn up kinda quick. My big issue being after welding 175 battery cells the unit fails to fire. I thought I would be ok because its the "top of the line" sunkko. Should have figured. Save the headache and get the Kweld from germany, much better.

Best spot welder out there
I love this thing. I just did 70 spot welds in rapid succession and it handled like a champ, granted it was pretty warm by that point and needed to cool down. The settings are a little weird, you have to change the number of pulses under the prongs with a push button, and on the screen. Once you get your settings dialed in for what you are working on, this thing gets the job done well. One thing you may want to consider is to buy some deoxitization or thermal paste to strengthen the connection for the external pulse welder. after 800+ spot welds the connection is getting loose on the plugs, and I had to put some deox in there because it was sparking and struggling with connection. Immediately after applying a conductive compound that strengthened the connection points, the performance increase was quite noticeable. If you struggle with getting welds to stick DEFINATELY look into putting some conductive paste in there.

only made a handful of decent welds before failing
I can crank this up to nearly full amps and it still can't produce good welds for more than a handful of times. Both the first and the replacement.

Beefy
This thing is large and powerful. I used it to weld 21700 packs with the included alloy strips. It struggles with the thick pure nickel strips I was expecting to use, but this is mainly because I was using the handheld tool and conservative pulse settings. I haven't tried the automatic arm thing, but it has really nice articulation and adjustability even though it's too short to weld a decent-sized ebike pack. Do note that the interface is a bit obtuse and it takes a lot of playing around to understand, but once you get it it's easy to control.

Works.
Have this in 110AC on a 30A power strip but only a 20A breaker and has not tripped my breaker, works quite well and didn't find the pen attachment to overheat and at all. but it is being used in a unheated garage in winter.
