These zipper pulls are very lightweight and seem very flimsy. Time will tell whether they break, but I don't expect them to be durable. There is also less selection than I expected, and most of the pulls I tried for my repair did not zip correctly. The double-sided pulls are most versatile (since they are essentially reversible to match the zipper construction), but these are also odd (I've only encountered these on sleeping bags). Also, all the stops are all silver; there are no black or bronze stops to match color options. I would seek a higher quality option for my next order.

After a number of years, the zipper slide on my favorite hooded sweatshirt broke. This is a quilted, heavy duty Craftsman sweatshirt that's quite warm and no longer available. Good quilted sweatshirts are quite pricey these days. Anyway, I couldn't zipper it up and was reluctant to get rid of it. So I searched on Amazon regarding zippers and saw this listing. It had a large number of reviews and most were rated quite highly. I read the negative reviews first to see what troubles people had with the product. Most of the negative reviews indicated that the slides didn't work for their applications. On the other hand, the positive reviews seem to indicate that the slides worked well. So I decided to give this a shot. With Amazon Prime, I could always return the package if things didn't work out. It was quite easy to install the new slide. The whole repair operation took maybe 15-20 minutes. If I had to do it again, it would be half that time. The provided instructions were quite good. The only issue I had was finding the correct slide to use. I tired a few different ones that I thought would work, but they were too tight and didn't close the zipper correctly. Finally on the third try I found the right one (#5). It worked perfectly. My sweatshirt zippers closed again. I'm quite pleased.

Last week, American Airlines baggage folks broke the zipper on my $200 bag. I was furious and just figured the bag was destined for land fill. Came across this Zipper kit, really didn't expect any quality or proper parts in the kit. Took me about 15 minutes to figure out how to make repairs and, boom - all fixed! Great selection of parts in the kit, should be able to fix most zippers here on out. Two things to note: The instructions are not much help so, being handy with repairs will be helpful. Secondly, the little Clippers included aren't very useful. Have some wire snips, pliers and small scissors and all will go smooth.
