It took a few minutes and some tools to remove the old rung locks but once this was done the installation was straightforward and easy. Rung locks are sturdy and function as designed. Like getting a new ladder for a fraction of the price

Need to reverse the extension part of the old ladder. extension part of the ladder was on back of base ladder. Slid it off and slid it back on the front of the base ladder. Had to reposition the new rung locks just above the next rung up of where the old locks were. New ones don't go where the old rung locks were. new locks lock onto 2 rungs. Works great.

They instructions where a bit weak, but this isn't rocket science. The plastic parts will likely wear out and break like those I'm replacing did in time. My ladder had mine riveted on, so replacing mine with these required that I get the rivets out. I used a hammer and chizzle to break the rivets out. I also didn't have a threader, but I found the bolts were able to self thread through the existing holes.So it didn't take much to thread the holes to accept the bolts mine came with.Once on they worked as well as those the ladder came with.NOTE: I did take the time to see what brand and model my ladder was to ensure the replacements I ordered would work. I would advise the same to all that need to replace their own.

The parts were very easy to install because they fit so well. The extension ladder is old but in great shape and with the new parts "like new again". The replacement parts arrived from the seller before their due date.

This is a great product. Well made and easy to install. I'm rating this 3 stars only because the box arrived and was open. Bolts and lock nuts were missing. I called the manufacturer and they wouldn't do anything to correct. I would have returned the item, but it was easier to go to ACE hardware and pick up the missing parts.

Value for the money. I needed this!

Well constructed, exact replacement part for my old ladder, easy to install, strong, very pleased.

The replacement rung locks work just fine, however the bolts for holding the locks in place (after you drill out the rivet per instructions) were fine thread and the nuts were course thread. Fortunately I always have a few jars of extra nuts and bolts so was able to find correct nuts to fit the bolts properly.
