Classic Heathkit Electronic Test Equipment Paperback – October 28, 2013

If you are into Heathkit test gear, this is THE book to get, which shows photos and has descriptions of all the test instruments that Heath ever made from beginning to end. It shows successive models and what the differences between them and their predecessors. Some construction notes are included, or information unique to a particular instrument. A very handy reference to go to whenever you see something being sold online.

If you are into Heath kit, this is the book to have.

This comprehensive guide is very well written, well illustrated, very accurate and to the point. It has photos of the most popular pieces of test equipment that Heathkit made. It also describes the equipment in detail and gives the year of manufacture for each item. No Heathkit collection is complete without this book!-Marty WB2FOU

There is some interesting information here. The author goes into detail on select instruments from each of over 20 different categories. He covers the field in 11 chapters. In each chapter he presents an in-depth look at one instrument.Unfortunately the illustrations in this book are of very low quality. Some of them even show what looks like toner smears and scanner-introduced distortion. This greatly detracts from the reading experience. It also likely accounts for the relatively low price. This volume is a good reference piece that could stand a substantial overhaul.

I know of Mr.Tranter from his videos of various Heathkit Electronic equipment. This book is a well laid-out look at some Heath co. offerings in test equipment. Thank you for offering a look back in time, on a segment of a companynot too far from where I grew up. I Used to very much enjoy building Heathkits, and I enjoyed looking through this book.

Didn't start to truly evaluate the content. I immediately upon receipt flipped through the pages looking for equipment I had a desire to obtain. It was painfully obvious immediately that the photos were dark, blurry, almost useless, some being totally useless. What had I just spent my money on? Not used to "Heathkit" community people turning out such poor quality material. Not sure I even want to keep THIS document. I am slowly evaluating content. There promises to be useful information inside. May yet ask for a refund.
