Smiffy's Western Gunman Belt

Even thought the belt didn't fit me properly, I was easily able to modify it and make it work for my River Song cosplay at ComiCon this year. Given the price of the item, and how well it ended up working out, I'm still cool with giving it a solid 4 stars.

I got this for my boyfriend for Halloween's Han Solo costume (I was Slave Leia lol). I got him the Han Solo toy blaster gun. The blaster fit kind of snug and it didn't fit in all the way, but it did great for what we were wanting and it didn't fall out. It was a great, cheaper, alternative vs the $60-$500 for the exact replica Han Solo blaster belts. You can see in the picture that the blaster doesn't fit all the way in, but it still did really good. I didn't give it 5 stars just because it wasn't exactly what I was looking for and the blaster didn't fit all the way, but its still a really good quality and it could be modified.

Fit me, a 110 lb 5'3" girl perfectly. I used it as a Laura Croft cosplay item as it was the only thing even close that cost less than 250 dollars. It looked great!It fit an airsoft pistol I used and it was able to handle the weight of several gear pieces I placed on it later on with no issues. It hung off my hip to the side. But it IS cheap and it did break a little throughout the night, but for the price and what I needed it for it was perfect.

This was a great product for a cheap price. I am dressing up Steampunk this Halloween and I bought the holster, cut the gun holding park open and glued across so leather ties to make it bigger to hold my steampunk nerf gun and it works great. I glued on embellishments and it is totally Steampunked now. I have a 30 inch waist and 37 in hips and it sit loose across my hips so worked great.

Worked perfectly with a "full-sized" revolver cap gun for a costume party. Ammunition loops are oversized so they could hold shotgun shells I suppose, but aren't good for much else. See photo for our usage.

Unfortunately I bought this to use with Rubie's Han Solo Blaster Replica, and for that, this holster is far too small. The gun will only go in a third of the way (see photo) so some big modifications have to be made.Now apart from that, the material of this holster is basically foam, with a fake leather surface material that acts like paper - it creases easily. The belt is on the short side, my 32 waist can wear it like intended, barely. If you are 34 or higher, you'll need to modify the belt as well.So, in general, if you are buying this for a kid, intend to put a tiny toy gun into it, it should work just fine. If however you are here because some reviewer on the Rubie's Han Solo Blaster review page mentioned this holster as the 'perfect match', keep looking, this is not the holster you are looking for.

But it can be modified ;) There really isn't a great selection of holsters here, especially with free shipping, so I picked this one and hoped for the best. I'm putting together a Han Solo costume and after picking out a blaster, I saw this holster in the scrolling photos of "Customers Who Viewed This Item Also Viewed". So I figured that other customers might have had success using them together.The holster itself isn't bad. The fake leather is pretty strong, especially for a costume accessory. My husband wears ~34 sized belt and he was able to achieve a slight tilt (like pictured) with it buckled on the last hole. Unfortunately, the actual holster is too narrow to hold the "official" plastic Han Solo Blaster. So I ended up slitting the stitching halfway down (until right above the small buckle across the holster. It doesn't look great but it'll hold the blaster at least.

I am giving only 1 star because Product arrived incomplete. Holster only, no belt. I needed for a costume. Holster is decent quality and worked well. If belt is same quality as holster would have given more stars.
