Works perfect, well-made, bright
I had a hard time finding a headlamp that was just red. Most cycle between red and white, which defeats the purpose of keeping night vision. This one cycles between bright red, dimmer red, and flashing red. It’s easy to operate, comfortable (although it’s a little bulky, but not overly so), and sturdy. The bright red is almost like having a red flashlight, as it’s very bright. I use this for nighttime photography, where I need to see camera buttons without ruining my night vision, and the dimmer setting works well for that.

If you need a bright red light…
It’s bright, really really bright

Seems to work OK except for the fact that it's way too bright.
It does allow for a lower brightness setting but all that is, is less bright. The battery containment system needs to be reviewed as well. Overall, for the money, and my seldom need to have to use one, I kept it. To get all the features some others had were too expensive, in my opinion.

Hands Free Red Light For Astronomy
Works as described with red light compliance for astronomy viewing.

Extremely bright! Not for star parties.
Even at the low setting (there are three settings, high, low and strobe, can't imagine who wants strobe in a headlamp...) this is orders of magnitude brighter than would be acceptable for a star party. However it would be nice for searching for a lost item in the grass if by yourself, or even reading instructions. The bright setting is really blinding.(Edit): After having it for a year, I *love* it! The brightness is great when setting up or dismantling equipment in the dark (for astronomy or astrophotography).

It’s okay
You get what you pay for, it does have a decent range and seems good. Reason I returned it is because you have to go threw all the modes to turn it off(hi, lo, and strobe) and I thought it was rechargeable but it’s not

Very comfortable and Good light
The light is bright enough to adjust my computer and telescope without interfering with my night vision. The headband is very comfortable and adjusts to different positions.

Too bright, too bulky, too cheap, possible fire risk
First, the pros:- Using rechargeable 18650 is great- Competitive price pointCons:- As others have mentioned, far too bright for astronomers- Obnoxious user experience; one click for full bright, two for medium, three for flashing. No other modes available, and no way to set a preferred mode. Every time I went to turn this thing off I felt like I might cause an epileptic seizure. Extremely annoying- Made up of a lot of lightweight plastic, so is bulky, yet not very durable- The battery cover is just a rubber flap- Extremely short lifespanTo expand on the last point, I had this thing for ~3 months, and went through as many charged batteries. Then, when the power went off here in Texas, I went to grab this thing and a fresh battery. When I tried to turn it off, it wouldn't, and both the main light and the battery pack were hot to the touch. It now won't turn off unless I take the battery out, and will 'ramp up' the brightness upon reinserting the battery. It seems to me like whoever engineered the circuitry and microcontroller didn't do their homework on the voltage range that an 18650 operates over, and also didn't design their device to fail safe (off). If this fails, it fails ON, and runs a risk of overheating, over discharging a battery, and potentially causing a fire, maybe even while you're wearing it.Do not buy this.
