Q: Did anyone else noticed a strong paint-like smell on these?? Purchased two of these sets amd both have this smell.

I did notice the smell but once i washed them in hot soapy water the smell went away they need washed before u use them its just the type of plastic they use to make them

Q: Why do they smell like nail polish

I didn't notice any smell when I got mine so I'm not quite sure why you would be smelling nail polish

Q: I opened mine and they smell like oil based paint or nail polish remover. It’s gross has anyone else noticed this?!

I noticed this as well and it makes me nervous to use them. I've never had silicone smell that way.

Q: Are they short to American standards?

If you are referring to the length of each piece, no they are not short. They are longer than seems standard to me. They would not disappear into a big soup pot, for instance. They are really wonderful, I must say, and very well made.
