Leviton WSC15-IRW Wireless Self-Powered PIR Occupancy Sensor, 1500 Square Feet, White

I use these with my MiCasaVerde Vera home automation system to automate lights and determine presence for HVAC controls (requires enOcean USB stick and enOcean plug-in for Vera). I love them because they are solar powered and can be placed with just the double-sided tape provided. They provide feedback every 60 seconds, so they work great for presence detection - better than a motion detector... This 04 model even senses minor motion right under it, so I can be working at my PC in my office, and it knows I am there without having to get up to set off a traditional motion detector.I don't like their high list price at $150, however. Amazon HAD been selling them at $75, and I bought 4 that way, but when I came back for another today it is listed at $98. My guess is they had been price matching Home Depot, and while Home Depot still has them for $75, they are currently out-of-stock. So now I wait for Home Depot to restock so I can order via Amazon?? These aren't worth $100 - honestly I think they should be priced around $50..

The device works and is saving me money in a condo parking garage. It's easy to setup and the wireless transmission seems solid - no problems at all. The only thing I would improve is the backup battery contacts. The 1/2AA cell I bought has a short (+) terminal and didn't make secure contact until I lifted it up at a slight angle. A more robust (+) terminal would be good. Otherwise, a great product so far. I'll update later if it breaks or I have issues.
