This Earthwise trimmer is fantastic! It is incredibly light ( light enough to trim using just one hand if you need to) It has easily cut through various weeds in my yard that had been ignored for way too long. It's super quick and thorough without being overly loud. Incredibly well built and you can'tbeat the price. Earthwise's reputation did not disappoint when I contacted them with an issue ( battery after 2 plus years) They responded immediately. I definitely will continue to purchase Earthwise products & highly recommend this great lightweight trimmer!

I hate the issue with small gas engines. Yes, they are faster and more powerful but the con out weight the benefits to me. I have about 5000 sq feet yard perimeter and driveway. It's light weight so the slight slower speed is acceptable. I see my neighbor having to stop because of gas engine issues. He gets quite annoyed,. Battery either works or don't work. If battery, I swap a new one. If its broken, I buy a new one for a faction of a gas. You might not want to do trimmer when it is raining. Water will break it, and it is not waterproof. My lawns stay trims, so I am not dealing with a jungle. I don't need the power of gas.

Light weight and powerful. Easy to use and will trim tough weeds. Has an auto feed of line or can be manually let out. First use worked it hard. Second use it would auto shut off after a few seconds. Battery test said it was half depleted but more like three quarters exhausted. Put in fresh battery and all was good. Instructions say it may take a few battery chargers to fully condition the battery. To run have to depress 2 buttons (as a safety feature). So far very happy with this unit. Also wish it would extend maybe a little more, but that's a minor complaint. One other minor fix for next model, a larger spool to hold more line. Easy to reload but a larger spool would mean more string for more uses before running out of line. After 10 months the black plastic (line) shield keeps falling off! Will gorilla glue it and hope that solves the issue.

We love this weed eater/edger! It’s so versatile - it’s fully adjustable for the user, we can turn the head around and use it as an edger, it’s lightweight, super easy to use, has plenty of power, and the battery lasts plenty long enough to do the front and back lawns! Excellent product - love it!

I was very enthusiastic to try this. It is very light and easy to use. Does fine when it is working. However, the feed breaks off easily and gets tangled. I spent more time fixing the feed than using the wacker. Not worth your time.

Product is lightweight which is very important to me. It arrived this morning; I charged battery while assembling product.Battery charged within an hour & I used the trimmer on my patio area.Worked as advertised. I am very pleased. Yes, I highly recommend this product.

The trimmer did everything I needed I to do. It is lightweight, quick to change from trimmer to edger, and seemed to be just what I wanted until the motor burnt out right at 2 months, smoke and all. That was unexpected. I do have a corner lot with sidewalks so there is a lot to edge but I expected the device to last longer than 2 months.Follow-upWithin days of posting my initial review, and having also filled out the online warranty, I received a full replacement within a week via UPS so I upgraded the rating from 1 to 3.1 year later follow-up: Originally I had bought 2 units to have a spare. The first one burnt up as described above and I did receive a replacement. The 2nd that I had purchased also just now burnt up. Again, to be fair, I have a large corner lot with sidewalks so the trimmer runs for a every long time. The cutting action slows the motor down. This condition causes it to overheat. If you have a small yard with no sidewalks it should work well for you. I disassembled the units and found that the plastic fan in both had melted. The image I included shows the housing compartment for the air flow. IMO the tiny vent holes where the red line starts are not sufficient for adequate cooling for long run times.

So far product is working very good battery power last a good amount of time.

The product is comfortable to use as it is lightweight and not bulky or heavy while trimming grass/weeds. I have a lot of trimming and wish the battery would last longer as I almost need 2 batteries. When pricing the battery($125.00) on Amazon it costs more than buying the trimmer with battery included which was $112.00.. Ridiculous

Trimming around our small backyard pond made easy due to sized and lightweight.

Apparently the geniuses over at earthwise decided that a flimsy little plastic tab was adequate for the trigger mechanism. Well, surprise surprise, the little plastic tab snaps off after barely any use of the trimmer and thereafter the trimmer can't be powered on.In addition, the third-rate motor in this thing burned out after less than a year of use. I'm not joking; the motor literally "burned out" and smoke poured out of the the trimmer before it sputtered to death (while I was cutting grass). Now it's literally just a hunk of junk. I'M NEVER PURCHASING ANOTHER EARTHWISE PRODUCT AGAIN. STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY.

The trimmer head cap started coming off after 1.5 years, then totally fell apart, the cap eventually coming apart in two pieces. Unable to find a new trimmer head cap anywhere online or sold by manufacturer. Everything else works good, but lack of trimmer spool/head cap parts available online has made this trimmer totally useless.
