Well I purchased three of these - one each for my two grandchildren and one to share between me in the kitchen and the doggo. Very pleasantly surprised at how powerful they are. Grandson got on well with his - definitely helped him to sleep - bit noisy but I think that helped him relax! Grand daughter yet to use hers. It's very good to have on the worktop while working in the kitchen. It doesn't cool the whole room, but certainly 4-5 ft distance for personal cooling down! I'll know for sure when I do the ironing. But yes, very pleased and would definitely buy it again.

Just purchased this after seeing it on TV and still sweltering next to a normal fan. What the hell I thought even a little bit of a relief is better than what I have at the moment. Looked at JML and it is the same price but you have to pay postage, so onto amazon and it arrived an hour ago. Small unit, not the sturdiest of construction, but what it is, is a fan with a filter in front of it, which is removed, made wet or better still put wet in the freezer, the lid lifted and filled with cold water and the fan blows over the cold wet filter and the water keeps the filter wet. The result cold air. This will not cool down a room, it is a personal cooler unit. I am currently sitting in a chair, with it 2 feet from me, it is 1400hr in 29c and the hairs are up on my arm from the cold air. I can feel it on my legs and I feel totally chilled and comfortable. It is a great relief. Not the quietest of fans. I have it on 2 at the moment and I am not sure whether I could sleep through it, but tonight will have to see. Really happy with it though from my first try. Be careful, if it is knocked over it won't stop the water soaking whatever it is on as the top is not secure or watertight.

With no air con at work the summer is unbearable so this is my second purchase of this cooler. The old one was used relentlessly for three summers and still works but I broke the vent. The unit is perfect for one person to use. If you sit in front of it at a desk you will benefit. It would not cool a larger space. So effective that five people at work have purchased it too.

We bought one of these in the July heatwave of 2022. It's ok but very noisy, and obviously it isn't powerful enough to cool a room. It's great if it can be located close to you, blowing directly onto your skin, otherwise it isn't much good. The air flow can be directed up or down by vanes at the front, and there are three fan speeds. We find the light quite annoying at night, but it can be turned off - we just don't like coloured lights in the bedroom at night. One worrying thing is that the power supply plug gets very hot on high fan speeds, much too hot for my comfort, and of course that just adds to the heat in the room that you're trying to cool. My verdict, it's ok but a bit of an expensive gimmick. To be fair, it is a "personal space air cooler" and NOT a room cooler.

With all the pseudo science of blowing air over frozen block with silver in it and a second water compartment.Product does not chill anything, pretty loud fan that doesn’t blow anything.Do a google and you’ll discover some interesting stories, court cases and videos about these style coolers if I’d known everything before buying 😠😩Also note that you will have to pay a delivery charge when returning this c@p

Good, fair priced cooler. Easy to use and very silent if you use it at night.

Ok so brought this because my partner is pregnant and our bedroom gets hot and with the mega heatwave coming thought this would helpIt is easy to use however honesty is the best policy it is noisy not loud but not quietI have found as most reviews have said to put the filter in water then freeze before use and just use icecubes in the Tray instead of water it does help1st night we gave in and opened a windowIt won't lower the temperature in the room we have over the last 2 days woke up 1st thing in the morning and opened the windows then closed them and curtains I have then used the jml and left it on for a few hours then topping up with ice if need toThe room has felt colder but the temp was upBut the hudmity was up aswell from 32percent to 45Because that's what is does sitting next to it you do feel the cold than you would a fanIf you want to cool the room down spend 500 on a Aircon unit is the truful matterBut this is handy and we are going away soon so be handy to leave in the room putting moister into the air
