Battle Armor Designs Cattle Curtain

Took a few days to get the drip adjusted just exactly right. Follow the directions as to what lubricant to use in the curtain, and it works well. Cattle at first were leary (of course), but have no problem with it now. Much fewer flies. Shipped ahead of promised date.

This would work great if it didnt drain the pesticide almost as fast as you put it in. Only had it up for about a week before one of the ropes pulled out. Would work great if i could use it. Cattle immediately stood under it when i first used it. If i could figure out how to keep it from draining within 30min it would work great. Until then, its useless.**update**Going from 1 star to 3 star after a year of use nowFinally figured out what to use to allow proper application without draining super fastAnother problem became apparent however.Somehow, the ropes keep pulling out of the pipe which then causes it to drain entirely.I found out, the maker uses finish nails through the end of the ropes inside the pipe to prevent them from pulling out. But the nails are not holding. I believe i have found a fix to this problem.I would like to rate this product higher than 3 stars because when it works, it works great, but for as many issues as i have had in the first year of use, i will not be rating higher. Hopefully i have fixed all the problems with my solutions now

Just the right size to hang over our mineral feeders, fly control easy and simple , I use old used motor oil with the fly dope and it works great

3 months now and I must say it's Not Great. I have tried Hydraulic oil and Fly Control Mix, In 3 month I have used 5 gal a Month ! And more, Leaks Can not regulate the flow, I have every Valve and Nuts Tight. Waste of good hard-earned Money ! NO FLY ON THE GROUND for damn sure .... We have Reg longhorns They Have it busted up. I guess They Play With It ? Not a good design ... the old Sock Rub Works, Why Better

Cows love it!

This product has a good design and I really want it to work. But, the truth is; the mineral oil/permectrin mixture leaks out through the wicks overnight. I have closed the air valve and tightened the compression fittings to their limits, it still has a puddle under it the next morning. Until I can find a way to restrict the flow, it will simply be too expensive to operate. I don’t see how anyone could add $80 dollars worth of mineral oil to this device every day.

More complete instructions about how the curtain should be used, for example more detail about what liquid products (by name) work best with the item would help. Also, a bit more detail about HOW to regulate the flow/application of the liquids dispensed would help. It was easy to install and lod with insecticide. We are still evaluating how effective it is. It is a good idea about how to get rid of flies, so we hope it works well.
