Loved this book, the military uniforms drawings are excellent!!

It was the gift. If you are in cloth design or you design costumes than this book is good to have.

Really great read if you're at all interested in elements of design from these eras. Great art as well.

A visual showcase of many important national army uniforms presented in stunning photo-realistic artworks. Covers the past century of wars & armies and you can actually mark the progression and evolution of not only uniforms but also the equiptment soldiers wore to battle. However, I couldn't give it the full 5 stars it deserves due to the fact that some illustrations were needlessly cropped off 9as they were right at the trim line of the page) as well as the computer generated illustrations of some modern armies which looked a little 'stiff & unreal'. But beyond this nitpicking, it's what every military enthusiast would need in their library in one single compilation.

The Military Uniforms Visual Encyclopedia is a good reference book for military historians or collectors. Great visuals supported by short written passages. No extensive details if you are looking for depth. Begins with the 18th Century. No ancient military information.

libro contenente un sacco di iimagini anche di periodi successivi alla II GM e di zone non sovente coperte da libri generalistici come questo.
