Did a real good job.
Makes excellent crimps. Make first crimp almost all the way, then rotate the dies one flat (60 degrees) and finish the crimp. No extrusions, way better than the big lever type crimpers. Tool is a little heavy but you get used to it. excellent selection of dies and the "plus" sizes make custom crimps or variances in the lugs or barrels no problem. My work is only battery cables for automotive. Tool seems well made, worth the premium over the low end tools.

A quality tool. Great value for the money and it works well.
This tool is neither the cheapest or most expensive of its kind but I find it hits the sweet spot as far as price and performance. My SIL and I have just converted a sprinter van to a motor home and had to do quite a bit of crimping. I have also used it to run heavy wiring on Jeeps. A bench mounted crimper would be easier to use but I find its size works well when we have to use it in a vehicle where the wires are already run or where it would be troublesome to remove them. The dies are clearly marked with the size and I have not had any problems getting a food crimp on the lugs or butt connectors I have used (Seltrim and Temco). The dies are held in place magnetically. As I am not usually in a rush I insert the lug or connector in the tool, squeeze the handles until the lug is held in place, insert the wire and squeeze again until the wire is firmly held in place, release pressure and rotate the lug or connector 90 degrees, squeeze until the dies touch, release pressure and rotate the lug or connector back 90 degrees and crimp again until the dies touch again. Using this method there are no extrusion to the outside and we have not had a failure. I think this is a substantial step up from the 30 to 40 dollar knock offs and recommend it highly.

Sturdy Lug Crimper
I purchased the crimper for making up new cables for my boat. It comes with a rotomolded case, spare seals, and extensive dies. Changing dies is simple, and the crimper is easy to use compared to a hand crimper. It makes attractive crimps on heavy duty lugs. As a test, I crimped a 00 lug onto Ancor 00 Boat Cable. The 00 dies barely made an impression on the lug, so I switched to the 0 dies and crimped again. This time the crimp was perfect. I surmise these are not actually AWG sized dies; however, they do make a nice crimp once you find the right die set. An effective tool, and small enough to work in the confined spaces of a boat.

Works great
Have used it to crimp about a dozen 1/0 ends and it has produced perfect crimps.

The BOMB!
The quality of the crimp this tool does is top notch! It’s not too big that it can’t perform in confined spaces and can easily be operated with one hand once loaded. Would strongly recommend using heat shrink as it does create kind of a sharp edge, which is a good trade off considering the crimp is super strong.

Quality tool at a fair price
After looking at some of the generic-brand crimpers, I decided to spend the extra money on the Temco. I'm not shy about spending more for a better tool, and Temco didn't disappoint me. The crimper is solid, hefty, and does the job properly. Like others that have written here, my crimps ended up with wings on each side, but I know that's because of the terminal, not the crimper. The heavier walls on the AMP terminals I used were squeezed out into the space between the dies. I suppose I might have been able to move up to a larger die initially, then recrimped with the correct die for the wire gauge, but in my case the wings are just cosmetic. The crimp was tight and did not pull out, and I'm happy with the results. On the next project I might look into using different terminals.

Crimper
Great item crips all types of ends

Makes perfect hex lug crimps where wires don't pull out. AWG+ sizes are great to get good crimps into cheap or dodgy wires that don't run true to AWG.

The TEMCo TH0006 Hydraulic Cable Lug Crimper Kit proved to be an outstanding tool during the build of my Airstream’s off-grid Victron power system. It handled everything from 4 AWG to 4/0 cables with ease, delivering consistent, factory-quality crimps every time. The hydraulic pump operates smoothly and requires very little effort, while the 18 included dies are clearly marked and fit snugly—no guessing or sloppy results. Build quality is excellent; it feels solid and reliable, not like a disposable import tool. I especially appreciated how quickly it let me produce secure, professional-grade terminations across the entire DC system. For anyone assembling battery cables, inverter connections, or busbar links, the TH0006 is a must-have—precise, efficient, and built to last.

I was a little sceptical regarding this purchase as there were some bad reviews on the tool quality and crimp sizes. I am totally satisfied with this tool and have used it to set over 100 lugs of sizes from 2 AWG through to 10 AWG and I can not fault the quality or the range and accuracy of crimp size dies. This purchase has already paid for itself and was worth every cent.

Received. Nicely packaged in blow molded case, with all the cool half size extra dies. The Temco TH0006 worked for a total of 16 crimps. The last one seemed fine, but upon closing the valve to start the next crimp, it failed to initiate the stroke. Tried everything. Contacted Temco, who suggested I use a pair of visegrips to turn the valve another quarter turn past tight, try it, and if that did not work, go one quarter turn more. Still did not work on the first quarter past tight, nor the second quarter. Left with a $500 boat anchor. Funny, that the Chinese one I have back at home in Colorado, that I bought for $65 years ago, and hundreds of crimps ago, still works.

So far I've only made one test crimp on 2/0 wire, but it easily made what seems to be a perfectly formed crimp - neat and secure. While this doesn't on the face of it look much different than some of the cheaper tools available, it does seem to to a better job, and I'd say it is probably down to the quality and proper sizing of the dies. For the crimp shown, I chose to hit it twice along the length since I had the space to do so.
