Excellent for the range
Perfect for seeing holes in paper at 50-200 yards at the range. Convenient that it also comes with a table top tripod. Very sharp image out to 200 yards and no problem seeing .223 holes on my target. Great value for the money.

Great spotting scope for the money
I don’t shoot long range (beyond 300 yards) very often, so I didn’t want to spend a thousand dollars on a high end spotting scope. I’ve used this out to 800 yards so far, and the glass is pretty clear at that distance and beyond. It’s easy to focus on your target at distance, the tripod that comes with it is sturdy, and the case seems to protect it well. It also doesn’t weigh a ton, so it’s easy to pack and carry. Very quick and easy to set up on the bench. I also use this for help sighting in my hunting pistols (10mm, 45 Colt, 44 magnum, and 460 S&W magnum) at 100-200 yards, and it’s been great so far. Can’t go wrong with this for the price.

Good optic at a cheap price.
I’ve had this for a couple of years now. I get good clarity and field of view. It’s been dropped and hit with brass. I’ve used personally and professionally. It’s still clear as day. The only criticism I have is that it doesn’t have any ranging marks on the radical. However it’s a cheap optic, but definitely worth the money.

Athlon Talos spotting scope
Received product promptly. I’ve checked the quality and compactness and it appears to be very good. I am not used it out in the field as yet checking around the neighborhood. Lands appear to be a good quality and provide excellent. Excellent clarity.

Very nice glass at a fair price.
I bought this spotting scope after seeing a fellow shooter with one on the range. Much clearer glass than my old Burris and easy to use. The sun shade is nice and it is easy to adjust for magnification and focus.

If you're familiar with optics..
You already know what to expect at this price range, but I was pleasantly surprised! I haven't had any issues with blue outline refraction or anything else out of the ordinary. No seriously noticeable fishbowl effect when panning side to side. It does work best at less than full 60x zoom. I can see .17HMR hits at 100yds fine on cardboard targets. It's a little less than perfect, but with a good tripod, and a minute to look carefully, I can see .22-250 hits at 200yds.. At 300yds, I'd be able to see hits on steel, but most likely not .22 hits on cardboard. Just messing around, I can count the bolts on the highest tier of a cellular tower from 1/4 mile. but I can't read grave stones from the same distance. It's a fair optic for the money, but it's also got that wide open, no optic coating, clear glass, kinda cheap view. Trying to focus through tree limbs, there's quite a bit of distortion, and the eye relief is pretty short. The rotating mount sleeve is a nice feature, the sunshade is a little short, but it's effective until the sun gets pretty low. It gets dark, and the image quality suffers after 40x, but I've been turning it up to 60x, and backing it down until I get a satisfactory view. In good light, a person new to scopes in this range should be really happy with it, as long as they don't expect to see the color of a bird's eyes at 500yds and full zoom. The focus knob is just right, not stiff, not too loose. It actually does a nice job. For a budget optic, I rate it a 5/5 for doing what a budget scope does, rather well.

Great Value
This is a great budget spotting scope. I have used it at the range when sighting in at 200+ yards. Also when scouting for upcoming hunts. Can read a STOP sign at 4 miles away. Some blurring at the edges......but why would you be looking at the edges? For the money it works great, and I dont have to be overly worried about cosmetic bumps and bruises. The tripod it comes with is tiny but functional. The carry bag has held up well. I have lost the lens caps, but that's no fault of the scope. But an improvement might be to somehow allow them to remain attached when opened up. Would definitely recommend to anyone getting in to hunting, who have a limited budget, and too much other gear to buy still.

Amazing beginner scope!
This scope is sturdy, comes with a short tripod, and isn’t heavy which makes it perfect for hiking and sight seeing. It also doesn’t take long to learn how to use the scope and adjust the lens. In fact, it only took a couple of minutes to get set-up from unboxing. This scope only has two knobs - one for focus and another for zoom, so it is very easy to use. I also love that the box came with a case to put away and carry the scope. For the price, I certainly think this item beats my expectations and is a perfect buy for the beginner or novice explorer, such as myself.. As someone living in a big city, this is a perfect way to get better views up close of the bright city lights, building architecture, and boats on the bay. I can’t wait to bring it with me on the mountains! ***I don’t believe this scope is meant for stargazing so just beware if that is what you are looking for. Photos: I can see the NYC skyline up close from my 7+ mile away north-facing apartment in Brooklyn! The views are even better on a clear night! Second photo is the new JPMorgan Chase headquarters lit up in LED on New Years… all from about 8 miles away! How cool. 😎

Perfect spotting scope for shooting, could see flies on a drum at 300 metres.

Although this comes with a mini tripod, I would recommend you use a regular one, as the provided one is only good for table top type use. Zooming the eyepiece requires a little bit of refocusing, but one can use it fairly close up in confined spaces (I used it inside my house with no problem). I like the big objective lens as many spotting scopes have only a 50 or 60 mm objective lens. Good bang for the buck, especially for us Canadians (with our low dollar). Came well packaged, box within a box. Bought it for use at the range to see targets more clearly at distance.
