Great buy! I wanted something inexpensive to use for ...
Great buy! I wanted something inexpensive to use for my daughters wedding in May as we will be setting up a photo booth. In addition, I take family photos on my spare time and wanted something for when the weather is not good and I need to take inside pictures. This is absolutely perfect for my needs! This lightweight aluminum frame comes with 2 tripod support stands, 4 crossbars, and a carrying case. I only used 3 crossbars today, as I did not it to be much wider. It was very easy to set up and to extend the sides to get some height. I set this up on my own and it took me about 10 minutes because I did not know what I was doing, and never had one before, next time it will be much faster. Just to try it out, I placed one curtain of lights on it and took some photos of one of my cats and a small clear ornament just to show how I will use it. I really do like it and I am extremely happy with the quality and how durable it seems to be. I will definitely update this review if I have any issues in the future. Most of what I hang from it, should be sheer and light, so I don't expect many issues as far as bowing in the middle due to weight.

Super Easy to set up
I am by no means a professional photographer. I take pics of my kids in my basement. I bought this instead of continuing to put push pin holes in the wall to hang up the sheets I use for backdrops. I recently purchased paper backdrops and this was perfect to hold them. I bought some of those lightweight clips and the whole things works perfectly! It's super easy to set up/take down. Has ability to make really wide, tall, short, narrow. The legs seem pretty sturdy. I don't push all the way out just b/c the material I use is lightweight. I can even fit the clips in the bag, It lays flat, has 3 compartments for two legs and rods and then rolls and the handles hold it together. It's so convenient to put this up, take some pics, and then take it down. Just can't beat the price for a modest photocrazymom!!!

Not bad. Not bad at all.
I was a little worried about buying this set, based on some of the reviews here. I think I'm really going to like it though. It is *very* lightweight (ok, some would say cheap) but for the price and my intended use, I'm pretty happy so far. I've used (and hauled) a lot of heavier, more expensive systems. They were like trying to kill a mosquito with a bazooka. This one comes with it's own case, which measures 36" long and about 5" deep. Very easy to transport. It went together really easily and doesn't look bad at all.I will use it for head shots to 3/4 shots on portraits, using only two of the crossbars. They are numbered, by the way, which is really helpful too. I think it will hold lightweight backgrounds (Freedom Cloth, etc) pretty nicely. I wouldn't put a paper roll of any size on it and wouldn't use the other two extensions because it really is quite flimsy. It seems stable though, if you have the legs positioned properly. One last caveat -- don't over-tighten the knobs. They're plastic and even the metal ones that I've used in the past won't put up with much excess torque before they strip. At this price point, even if you have to replace it every couple of times that you use it (which you won't) it's still really affordable.Update -- I only paid about forty bananas for this set and just noticed that the price is now more than double that. No way I would pay what they're asking for it now.

A beginner's must have
While I love to do outdoor or on location shoots; when the weather gets cold this is a great backup plan. Although it's not made of the sturdiest metal, the rods are lightweight and won't cause strain to carry around for mobile photographers. It's a breeze to set up with just a few locking tabs and strong enough to hold multiple backdrops. Clips are not included but will make for a great companion to buy with this item.

DIY wedding altar
I used this photo backdrop stand as the framework for my DIY wedding altar and hung the Lill Ikea curtains off of it. It is a bit tricky to figure out how to assemble if you don't already have an intuition for self assembly items because it comes with zero instructions. Even though it's fairly lightweight and seems like it could fall over if you push it, I had my altar standing in 20mph winds and it never fell over. Granted, I hung a lot of stuff on it too. It comes with 4 separate bars to go over the top, but I only needed 3. I converted it to the dance floor backdrop just by letting loose the curtains and attaching a curtain of LED lights (Ucharge Led Light Curtain Icicle Lights 300led) on large curtain hooks (Home Depot, 12 for 2 bucks). Overall, it was a great buy. [if you were curious, the rest of the decorations all came from a dollar store)

An Absolute Piece of Garbage
The craftsmanship used to make this particular item is among the worst that I’ve seen of any product that I have purchased in my 52 years on this planet. It arrived with a cracked clamp and one of the two vertical posts has a smaller diameter than the other which will not allow it to be tightened in place. It appears as if the manufacturer decided to throw spare parts together and try to fool the purchaser taking their money in the process. There are many other manufacturers of a similar item that will take more pride in their product. Avoid this seller like the plague.

Great Value
Usually you get what you pay for but in this case I thought this was a great value. This is a down and dirty backdrop setup. I do not expect it to last more than a few years before another is needed but that is ok as this is dependable, lightweight and very convenient to setup and tear down quickly. If I needed something extremely strong and sturdy in a studio I would buy something much more expensive.

It's good for the price and I love the carry bag
It's good for the price and I love the carry bag, but it only gets three stars due to the lack of sturdiness. It wobbles when putting it at full size. Small sizes it does great though. The lightweight and adjustability make this product convenient for a young photographer without an actual studio space.Attached is the most recently used scene. This was not in professional capacity, but sheer fun.
