Fluval 407 External Filter

Pros - Easy set up - Fits plenty of media - Stable - Good all round filter Cons - In my opinion it is slightly too loud for bedroom use, you will hear a quiet loud humming noise (my hearing is good so take my word). However I have tried my best to fill up my cabinet under the tank to try muffle the sound as much as possible but it’s still somewhat loud. - Inlet and Outlet tubes are too thick for a Fluval Roma meaning you will have to either cut into your Lids or the plastic frame on the tank... - Both tubes can tap on glass or wall through the vibration of the canister so a few extra suctions cups thrown in would be handy. - Should include a Fluval Spray Bar Side note: If you have anything under a 200L tank do not buy the 407 because even at the lowest outflow setting it will be too powerful for fish that prefer slow moving water like Betta’s. I have just about got the right flow for my 200L by including a spray bar and having the outflow at the lowest setting.

Got this as an upgrade on the stock filter supplied with our 240L tank and can only say the improvement is amazing. Very quiet, able to have more filter media in and can adjust the flow. Urmston aquatics are a great LFS and if you live close they are great for buying fish from but bought the filter off them through Amazon as this was cheaper than in the shop!!! Definitely recommend the filter and the seller!!!

I had my last filter for numerous years and had no issues but thought I’d upgrade to a quieter filter for my fish/turtle tank, I purchased this filter in February after reading reviews.There were teething problems at first due to low water flow but it improved luckily and I thought all was great but in may the flow has slowed down again ,filter doesn’t need cleaned ,I tried pumping the priming handle which snapped off in my hand and it’s supposed to be 7x stronger than the previous version.I paid £216.99 for this and have tried contacting the seller and Amazon but it just navigates me round in circles and so I can’t report this to anyone,I wish I’d purchased from a shop so I could speak to a human as I feel like I’ve wasted a lot of money and it’s now at a cheaper price.ive just purchased a replacement primer from another Amazon seller,so I’m at least relieved about that.(update)Swapped the broken primer for the new one water flow was great for about a day,I’ve replaced water that’s evaporated from tank in case it’s that but it’s now back to being a slow trickle which is a nightmare for my fish/turtles.water quality is now really bad & I can’t afford another filter.so distressing.

The unit is sturdy, quieter than the unit it superseded, straightforward to service - and provided you use a supplementary air pump and stone to aerate the water rather than rely on the outlet mouth from the Fluval driving in the air by discharging partially in and partially out of the water, the whole experience is quiet. I have installed my unit in a service corridor behind the aquarium with hoses running through holes in the 4" stud wall. This additional distance meant that it was critical to cut the loop of hose in just the right place to reach the intake and out spout. I played safe and got an additional length of hose. It is no longer than it comfortably needs to be, and the pump has more than sufficient oomph. The clamps provided allow for the hose to loop over the rear edge of the tank. However, the tank I have has holes in the flange at the back to take such hoses.The clamps provided are not suitable for this route - but home-made wedges (from wooden clothes pegs) secure the hose through the hole without it chaffing, and the inner halves of the clamps provided take over to set the 90° bend required for the inlet draw pipe. One star is knocked off for the stingy length of hose and the lack of provision of clamps suited for rear entry through holes, both issues of which were overcome relatively easily.

Tek kelime ile canavar. 500lt akvaryumum icin aldım debisi ciddi yüksek. Akvaryumdan iç filtre dalga motoru ne varsa çıkardım. Tek başına her şeyi yapıyor. Boyutlarıda gayet makul .Ve çokta sessiz çalışıyor. Kalite tesadüf değil kesinlikle parasını hakediyor

Producto de gran calidad. Nivel de ruido prácticamente 0 y gran poder de succión. De echo para mí acuario de 240 litros he tenido que quitarle un poco de fuerza. Además me he encontrado con la grata sorpresa de que a los 3 años de garantía que tiene el producto, la empresa FLUVAL le ha añadido 2 años más en las mismas condiciones. Todo un acierto con este producto.

Der Filter hat verglichen mit älteren Generationen deutliche Verbesserungen. Pro: - Filterkörbe haben jetzt eine Halterung - die Ansaugfunktion funktioniert deutlich einfacher - der Griff für die Ansaugung ist robuster - der Pumpenkopf ist erheblich leichter abzumachen - Gummifüße für Geräuschdämmung - mitgelieferte Filtermedien (schon seit dem ich fluval Kunde bin) - schönes Montageset für die Schläuche Kontra: - ah ja der geriffelte Schlauch, schon immer umstritten in der Community. Einziger Nachteil der mir aufgefallen ist: wenn er zu oft mechanisch beansprucht wird, kann er leichter Risse entwickeln, als Gummi Schläuche. - ich finde den Filter persönlich noch ein wenig zu laut (Ich hatte Filter mit deutlich stärkeren Pumpenleistungen, die ruhiger liefen) - mehr gibt's eigentlich wirklich nicht zu meckern, im allgemeinen ist der Filter wirklich gut und ich bin sehr zufrieden mit ihm.

Best purchase ever

Cela fait bien longtemps que je ne travaille plus qu'avec des filtres fluval. Je possède trois 407 et un 306. Gros débit, faible niveau de bruit, qualité de fabrication et bonne capacité de filtration. Personnellement j'apprécie les accessoires et le tuyau cannelé. Jamais eu le moindre problème avec. Par contre de nombreux soucis avec Eheim et JBL. Dans l'attente de passer aux FX...
