Jessner's at home Chemical Peel

I am new to at home chemical peels, at least anything beyond percentages and concentrations that are more similar to strong chemical exfoliants being advertised and marketed as peels. With that being said I am a skeptical consumer and not easily impressed. After using this product today I feel very confident in backing it, and if you don't have a reaction to this product I would wager to guess you skipped using alcohol prior to application or did not do enough layers. I do not have very sensitive skin despite having taken high doses of accutane for six consecutive months a few years ago. I am a pretty oily person and am already back to starting to have extremely congested skin and clogged pores which is why I have decided I need to do a series of chemical peels to give my skin a purging period to refresh it. I did three layers and I can say I definitely frosted and I think I may have a high pain tolerance but beside a mild burning/stinging sensation it really wasn't too bad and it was NOT the kind of stinging where I can tell whatever I am using might not be good for my skin. It felt more like when you are putting aloe vera on a sunburn, and it's what my skin looked like during application and after which is actually what everything says I should expect. I frosted as well. It feels like it definitely is effective without being unpredictable or caustic, for example i have little picking marks where the skin is broken and it didn't burn them or anything. I will try to remember to update this review after a week to let you guys know if I peel or not. Also as another reviewer stated, the seller seems really sweet and takes pride in maintaining customers which is evident in the thoughtful packaging and cute little freebie microdermabrasion crystals and the very coherent and thorough instructions for the peel.UPDATE---DAY two and I can definitely tell my skin is going to peel nicely like it should in a sheet. I only applied this to my forehead, and ignore my crazy eyebrows. I stupidly decided to dye them post-peel. First pic is forehead relaxed, second is crinkled. You can tell all of that skin will come off in a nice even way. My forehead does not ever look crinkly like that, normally. Very happy!!

I have a dark brown complexion, normal skin type but I have texture, hyperpigmentation, and acne scarring on cheeks I’ve been working on. I watched a few videos of others using this exact brand on the clock app & I was impressed w/ end results and amount of peeling. I did my research on how to properly apply the peel beforehand plus I’ve had 5 peels previously so I knew my pain tolerance, etc. They also send you precise instructions, do’s and dont’s, 1 gauze pad and free microdermabrasion beads!I applied 4 layers with 4 minute intervals (because I wanted to put the capital P in PEEL LLL) but now I realize the usual 3 layers with 5min intervals should be just as potent because this peel is SPICY and did not come to play ANY games. Previous peels have started tingling a few minutes after the 2nd layer after but within 30 seconds of applying the FIRST layer I could feel the spiciness and it meant business . I was pleased!! Also, I’m only speaking on *My* preference please follow precise instructions and/or what works best for You as I am a DIY girlie, not a professional.Currently on day 4 of peeling, there’s medium/heavy peeling, no unexpected side effects, the new skin showing looks amazing and soft. My only complaint is not being able to be outdoors on sunny days but it’s worth the end resultI give this Skin Obsession jessner’s peel a 10 out of 10 for affordability, customer service, and desired effects for chemical peel. They’ve gained a loyal customer! Now that I know of this company, I’ll be ordering directly from them on their website as they offer free shipping! I love, love, LOVE this brand. High quality product. Does a great peel alone or really deep peel with TCA. I recommend this product as a professional skin care specialist for decades.
