Overall great camera.
I purchased this camera for my wife for our 5th anniversary, and I am very happy with my purchase.First, the camera is packaged very nicely. It comes in a nice looking black box with a sleeve over it with an image of the product and other information. Once you open the box, everything is laid out in a very neat and tidy way.The build of the camera feels very solid. Some other reviews have knocked it for being entirely plastic instead of having metal and/or rubber. I think the camera feels really well built. The plastic has a nice texture on the grip and has a peal finish over the entire camera. It does not feel or look cheap or glossy. The lens is easy to put on and take off and feels very secure when it is on. Overall, I have no complaints about the build quality of this camera. Two quirks this camera has that may be off putting to some, but were pluses to me: It takes micro SD cards instead of full size and it doesn't come with a battery cradle, it charges over micro USB. Now, I already had a 64 GB micro SD card that wasn't being utilized while my largest standard SD card is only 8 GB, so I was fine with the camera taking micro SD. I also am always losing camera battery chargers, so the camera charging over micro USB, which I have all over the house and in all the cars, is a HUGE plus for me. Finally, this camera has a micro HDMI out so you can hook it up to your TV.The software on the camera is fantastic. I was able to figure out the camera in about 30 minutes of use, and this is my first non-point and shoot camera. The interface is very intuitive and beginner friendly while still having all the advanced setting and options that "prosumers" will want. Being able to use your smartphone as a remote view finder and shutter is awesome and saves the hassle and expense of buying a remote shutter trigger. I also love that the camera can automatically send pictures to your smartphone so they are easy to share on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram etc. The camera will also automatically backup your pictures to your computer wirelessly with included software installed on your computer. The image quality is astoundingly good. Granted I have only used it in very good lighting so far, but the pictures have exceeded my high expectations for the camera. The quality difference between this camera and our previous point and shoot (which was only $100 less), is amazing. The main subject is sharp and the background has a pleasant blur. Colors are rich and vibrant. Overall, very nice looking pictures. As I use the camera more, I will update my review if my opinion changes or there are any other important considerations I come across.

Amazing camera great price
This is a powerful, compact, and easy to use camera. The Samsung NX2000 is more than just a bridge between a point & shoot and a DSLR, it's the real deal. In size, it's comparable to many point and shoot cameras (without the lens) but in picture quality, it really shines. Even pictures taken at a distance come out with stunning detail. The easy share function means that I can automatically transport my photos to my smartphone and post on social networks right away. Or when you're at home or at a WiFi hotspot, you can upload your photos to Facebook or sorted cloud drives.I've been using this camera for about a month now and I'm in love with it more and more. I can take it with me on a hike or trail without being weighed down. Once I was asked to take some photos of a speaker using his camera Canon DSLR (I didn't have mine that particular night). After about 45 minutes of constant shooting using the DSLR, my hand started to get a little tired. Also with the person's DSLR, it seemed slow and clunky and choosing what to get the camera to focus on was slow. Had I had my NX2000 with me, I know for sure I would have got quality shots. I love how most of the settings necessary for shooting can be accessed by either the dial or the iFunction button on the lens (Aperture, Shutter Speed, ISO, White Balance).ProsSupports RAW*Supports HDR*Does Exposure Bracketing (three shot bursts for HDR post processing with HDR Software)*Its lightweight and compact design help you hold it more steady longer to get better shots.Because it's compact, you can easily take it with you for family gatherings and vacation photos.Autoshare feature to smartphone does not require a WiFi hotspot.SmartAuto mode is great for every day shots for family events.Several Smart modes to that help get you a more advanced shot.A comprehensive Expert mode which gives you more control.ConsBattery life could be better (it has a decent battery life that will last about a day of light shooting or a half day with heavy shooting and AutoShare turned on)Expert mode can be overwhelming and some settings are hard to findCannot share photos directly to G+ photosWhen sharing to cloud drives or social networks directly from camera it will not allow you to share more than 10 at a timeIt's really addictive, I want to take pictures everywhere and I'm already planning on buying more lensesOverall, this camera is a great buy and well worth it, whether you're just wanting something better than a point and shoot or you're looking for something lighter to replace your DSLR.*In expert mode

Photos are noticeably better than a camera phone though
Decent camera. I admit I wish I had shelled out the $200 - $300 more for a digital SLR package. Photos are noticeably better than a camera phone though, and the HD video is really beautiful. Having a dedicated camera on vacation is must and the battery lasts a reasonable time, but you'll still want to purchase a couple of extras if you plan to be out for a while. The back screen is very difficult to see in the sun, even with an anti-glare screen protector, which will be a must. Features are pretty good, with a lot of auto and manual options you won't find on a lot of other brands I compared, including integration with your Samsung phone (admittedly, functions that will likely be obsolete in 5 or more years). Auto focus can be frustrating at times, as can be the touch screen's ease of being accidently touched when holding for a photo. The camera comes packaged with Adobe Lightroom - a quality software addition to manage your photos.
