Great Decoration lacking sound quality
Base of product was scratched and damaged upon delivery. Box was marked fragile but clearly was not handled that way. It took a little work to get in tune. Once in tune I was not impressed with the quality of sound. Best way for me to describe it, "Like buying one of those cheap nylon string guitars off some infomercial. Will probably keep as a decoration in our music room, but I doubt it will ever seriously get any play. Disappointed!

A nice little inexpensive harp
This is not a high-end harp and the target consumer is probably either a beginner or someone who wants a second harp that is more portable, which is our case. The sound quality was good, although it sounds just a little reminiscent of a banjo. I don't think this takes away from the playing or listening experience--it just has a bit of a different sound. We are pleased with it. We now have a lot more playing outside and as we travel, which is a real bonus. Once you start taking this harp everywhere with you and playing, I'm sure you will agree, as you'll get to enjoy harp playing and listening more. The only thing that won't work out of the box, apart from tuning, is the levers. First, a few of them needed adjusted so they don't hit the strings. Then, you will have to adjust them vertically, since they aren't set to perfectly sharp the note. Just get a thin #1 Phillips screwdriver and your tuner, and do some minor adjustments and everything will sound great. You can easily do this yourself if you know how to tune and are familiar with even a simple idea of how a harp should work. We are satisfied with the construction and it looks like it will bring enjoyable playing for many years to come.

The strings are dull sounding, and half the levers were bent on ...
This little harp is very disappointing. The strings are dull sounding, and half the levers were bent on arrival. I purchased a harp who's packaging was damaged, but harp was supposed to be un-damaged. It is damaged, but that is not the fault of the manufacturer. I bought this harp to travel and camp with, but it sounds so bad that I am not inspired to play it.

This harp is a total delight!
I love the Celtic harp I recently bought. It was used, but looked brand new and is lovely. It is as much. A joy to just look at it as it is to enjoy its' sound. The voice is fine and true and holds its tuning very well. I cannot find fault with it in any area. I LOVE my harp! I have learned so many sweet songs and, of course, many of the classic Irish songs. A wonderful way to relax and make music.

do not buy
These inexpensive harps are not quality instruments. Most do not hold tune well. They are decorative and thats about it. I play Celtic harp and know what a quality instrument is. If you are looking for an inexpensive instrument to get started - go with a Harpsicle Harp. They are in the same price range and much better. Many prso use a Harpsicle as a travel harp. No I do not work for them, I just don't like to see someone get a harp they will most likely wind up frustrated with.

The perfect travel size, and levers are much better quality than a few years back.
This harp is ideal for carrying with you wherever you go. I ordered the rounded back soundboard and then realized that the space removed to make the rounded corners actually makes this harp a bit softer in volume than the regular Heather Harp. But, I love the design and the color, and the levers are much better quality than the ones that came with the Heather Harp when I ordered one years ago. I gave my Heather harp to my little niece and she is making good use of it. So I decided to get another one for myself. I don't regret getting this little harp.
