Q: Why did the price increase so much between August 2019 when it was $15.88 to $22.92 in October?

Fees for home delivery and material costs increased especially on the smaller length products.

Q: Could this be used inside a sink as a sink mat?

I don’t think so. The mat is so thick that the water would stay underneath.

Q: We have chrome organizers with sliding drawers. Can we drill through the mat to secure them to the wood?

Yes you can. I like this mat very strong and not very hard to drill in it.

Q: How long until smell goes away? Had mine for 3 days now and it still has a strong smell.

I've ordered 4 of these in August, 2019 and another 5 in February, 2020. I haven't noticed a strong smell or any smell stronger than the other shelf liners I've used. After they've been in place for a while I detect no smell at all. I'm sorry you are having problems with your order.
