To answer your 3 questions 1) “So is it?” Well it is, if you mean in existence and a Fitbit watch 2) “or not?” See reply to question 1. 3)”rechargeable?” Yes it is.

Q: Can you install the app on a kids amzon fire?

The fitbit app can be downloaded from the amazon app store, although I had issues with this version app. I think it was an old version of fitbit. So in the end I programmed the fire tablet with google playstore. Which is a much better version of fitbit. It has the family account applied.

Q: Does this show calories burned? If it does am I able to remove that function from the screen?

Yes it does but you can cycle through different displays so you are not looking at the calories burned info
