Great fan
i couldn't find much information on "Tech Drive" after I'd already ordered this exhaust fan. I liked the reviews I'd read and it was an exact match to the existing hole in my ceiling. What I didn't account for was the jut out for the exhaust and the weight. I'm a relatively handy woman, but I quickly realized I'd have to hire someone. It took the installer 1.5 hours and I think he could've done it in 1 if he'd just come inside with everything he needed for the job and had asked me a question about the vent instead of spending 20 minutes searching for it. (Don't overpay. I had a couple ridiculous "minimum + hourly rate charge" quotes and could've paid 2-3x what I did). The licensed/insured company's handyman found it very simple to install from inside the attic. I was prepared with all the suggestions I'd learned from reviews, so that probably saved some time, too. The fan is so quiet you may forget to turn it off! Mine is a 5x9 bathroom and I purposely oversized the exhaust to eliminate humidity issues I was already having in my small house. It does an excellent job of clearing the steam during a shower and any residual steam on the mirror is gone within a few minutes! I'm very satisfied!

Super quite, but CFM might not be enough
This exhaust fan is super quite. Seems to pull only a fraction of the CFM my older noisy fan provided. Have no way to measure performance against advertised CFM. For as quite and low(er) CFM this one is, I wish I had gone a tiny bit more powerful/louder. Overall, the product seems great.

Nice and quiet!
When my original fan died, I based this purchase on reviews/cost/sone. Installation was a slight headache. The only drawback I have with this item is the 'flapper' slams, loudly. This model is so much quieter than what is in the other room, and removes the air particulate matter, quickly. Verify your clearances and get this unit!

Louder than advertised
Definitely not 0.3 sones. More like 1.3 sones. Much quieter than what it replaced, but I’m sure there are quieter brands out there.

Very quiet
Replaced the original builder grade fan just because I hated how loud it was. The fan ways 7 lbs, so plan ahead and have a helper. It will require more support than the old one you remove. For a very experienced do it yourselfer or a pro, it will take about 2 hours. I needed attic access to install the bracket between my 24” on center trusses, to move the blown in insulation , to replace the flex duct and because the duct connector wouldn’t snap back in to the top of the housing when installed from below. You very likely have 3” flex and this requires a 4” vent. I went up and moved the insulation out of the way. I disconnected and removed the old fan. Made the hole bigger, removed the duct connecter (2 screws) and hooked up the duct and the wiring from below. I pushed the duct connecter through the hole, then the fan. Screwed the fan housing to the joist, reattached the duct connecter then went up in the attic to install the bracket and rearrange the insulation. This fan is very quiet. I’d recommend it.

A very good fan, for the size and price
I wanted a whisper quiet fan, to replace a ridiculously loud one. Unfortunately, the distance between joists, where I had to install it, was a mere 9" gap between them. I couldn't find a fan that would fit in that space that offered the kind of specs I was looking for. This one came really close. I ended up having to chisel out a 1/4" area from one of the joists to get this to fit, but once I did, it performed very well. It's quiet. Not whisper quiet, but certainly tolerable. I am very happy with my purchase, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend it to others.

Need Attic Access
Great fan, super quiet. You really need attic access to install this. It was much larger than the one I replaced but was an easy install with access to the attic.

Quiet exhaust fan
Exhaust fan replacing my old one was a perfect fit. Noise level is decent was slight higher decibel then my old exhaust but was acceptable!! Installation took about 45 mins. Happy with this purchase!!
