Best purchase on Amazon!
I'm an Amazon Prime Member and purchase a lot of things. This by far has been my best purchase; because it changes how your entire day goes from the moment you wake up.I have had this alarm clock for about 2 months now. My Wife and I just had a baby recently and she sleeps beside our bed for the time being; the baby, not the wife. Before I got this Vibrating Alarm Clock I used my usual phone alarm clock to wake me up. I'm hard to wake up too. The phone would go off and wife would wake up, dogs would wake up, baby would obviously wake up and in a panic, I'm trying to shut off my phone in a dizzy haze. Sometimes hitting the snooze and repeating if it didn't happen to wake everyone up the first time, or the phone would just lock up and not go off and I would be late to work. Talk about rough mornings. Now with the Shake-n-Wake Alarm Clock I wear it on my wrist at night. I wake up very early in the morning to run before I go to work. It vibrates and wakes me up without fail every single time without startling me. I'm not in a panic to shut it off in fear of waking everyone up. I get in my run before work and the rest of the day is splendid, not to mention the wife, and baby get to sleep a few more hours.A few people have mentioned the hourly alarm annoyance flaw. Not a flaw, just an option. Maybe the flaw was it was left out of some of the instructions. I shut it off day one and it never comes back. Just pressing the "Time Set" and "Mode" button simultaneously toggles the hourly chime on and off. When the date display indicates "SU MO TU WE TH FR SA" after pressing these buttons simultaneously, the hourly chime is on. The date display will go blank after toggling the hourly chime off. Very easy, not worth even close to trashing this product over that.I've also heard people complain about the arm strap. I've not had any problems with mine and wearing it 5 days a week for 2 months now and does not look to be wearing out. I imagine if it does ever break I will quickly be at the fabric store fix it or make a new one. I love this thing and after my baby moves to her nursery, I'm sure I'll still be wearing it. Even if I'm alone in bed, I'll probably still use it, because even as hard as it is to wake me up with a loud alarm clock, the Shake-n-Wake wakes me up nice and easy.I recommend this product!

Vibration Woke Me Up!
I am a very sound sleeper; I can sleep through pretty much anything. Sounds great, huh? Unfortunately, I am also very difficult and slow to wake. My normal alarm goes on and off (when I hit snooze) for about an hour before I wake up which greatly annoys my husband who is (and you guessed it) a very light sleeper. I happened upon this vibrating alarm and thought it may be a solution to our problem; I didn't however have much confidence that it would work for me, but it was certainly worth a try. It's not very stylish. It's about the size and shape of a digital refrigerator timer and honestly, kind of looks like one too. Instead of a magnet on the back, there is an attached 1.5 inch wide "slide-on type" plastic clip. It takes one AAA battery which was easy to put in and is in my mind a plus since I have a huge supply of these for all of our remote controls. The directions, at first seemed bothersomely complicated, but thinking of my husband, I pressed on and managed to set the time and the alarm. By the time I had finished doing both, I realized it wasn't that difficult but I did save the directions because I'm sure I will need them again when daylight savings time rolls around. The strap is an elastic loop with a velcro adjustment and has a small pocket that the alarm's plastic clip slides into. On my wrist, it felt awkward and bulky but was easy to set. (The alarm has a depth equal to the diameter of a penny and once clipped onto the strap and on the wrist, the total depth is increased to a bit more than a quarter.) I have become accustomed to its size and the new nightly ritual of putting it on before going to bed. The vibration is pretty strong and it does wake me up. You can tell that the alarm is set because there is a small icon that appears in the upper right corner of the display. Also if it it is set to vibrate (and not audible alarm) it will quickly vibrate to let you know when you set the alarm on (or off). It has a light so you can see the time in the dark. It also has a snooze feature, instead of hitting two buttons ("reset" & "start" simultaneously) to stop the vibration and set the alarm to off, you hit "start" and it will vibrate again to wake you five minutes later. What I didn't consider before buying it was this: I move around alot when I sleep, and I mostly sleep on my stomach with my hands underneath my body, what if it fell off? I've used this now for two weeks, and through all of my nightly tossing and turning, it does stay on my wrist; only once did the alarm slip off of the strap (the strap stayed on).The optional strap allows the alarm to be placed under a pillow (or in a pillow case) instead of on the wrist. The large velcro strap allows you to place it in alternative locations, like your ankle or up higher on the arm. I've never used the audible alarm so I can't offer how loud it is. The vibration was loud to me but my husband says that he has never heard it. After using the alarm awhile, I think the reason for the more sophisticated set up is to reduce the likelihood that you will change any of the settings while sleeping.I'd bet that if it were slimmer and better looking, many people might toss the alarm on the nightstand and replace it with one of these - hey, Apple, are you listening? It could be called the iVibe. Even with its shortcomings, I still give this alarm a big thumbs up.
