I bought a pair of Sketchers and then decided to buy regular Xpands for all my casual shoes to make them slip-ons. I have Cerebral Palsy and these have made life so much easier. They are easy to install, and their flexibility allow you to fit the shoe to each foot easily and comfortably. Their elasticity is fantastic, but always keep in mind the shoe itself is the biggest influence on how easy the it will go on after installation. If the shoe construction is rigid, these laces will not address the challenges of putting them shoes on. It will be easier, but not easy.

Definitely avoids having to tie shoes. Better instructions would help. First, do not cut the laces too short, as I did and now am considering a repurchase to get new laces. After cutting the laces, the ends fray, making it impossible to relace the shoe; easy solution, light the lace end with a match and the end becomes hard and firm, no fringe to interfere with lacing. The end piece locks the laces together, but they pull out too easily with pressure. To fix that, put the laces through the locking pieces, then tie a simple knot in each lace (preventing it from pulling back through the locking piece) and then attach the end piece. That piece is easy to open with a small screwdriver; insert into the piece, twist and lift gently and it pops open.

I have purchased multiple Xpand laces. I absolutely love them. I can slide my shoes on and off with 1 hand or even no hands. They’re comfortable, they can be adjusted. They look really great. The wife loves the way they look, so who am I to argue? No more wasting time tying my shoes, slip on and go! Love these!!!

Love them! I work as a paramedic with 24hr shifts. At night, we're allowed to take our boots off to rest. Most boots offer a side zipper but I've always had problems with the boot folding in on itself. These new shoelaces are the best! They stay looped and keep the mouth open enough for you to slide your foot in and then really simply pull the elastic and lock it in. You're good to go for the next 911 call! Anytime I buy new boots, I'll be buying these along with them.

I bought these and a pair of Lock Laces at the same time. Here's the difference: Lock Laces are not only easier to install, but FAR easier to make adjustments while wearing them. These would be fine if you didn't mind the extra hassle (they do work the same once they're at the right tension), but you wouldn't really be able to change the fit without a huge hassle. I'm getting rid of these and just buying more Lock Laces.
