Reverse: Denomination, value and Mint Mark between two oak leaves.
New Coin style by the German Third Reich and the Nazi Party.
Bronze - 20.1 mm. diameter ( About Nickel Size )
These coins were the beginning of the Nazi propaganda in Germany. The swastika was a symbol of progress. These coins were minted in bronze until 1940. In 1940 Germany began to issue zinc coins with a slightly different style. The copper previously used in the minting process was needed in the war effort.
