Not working. period.
On the contrary to their ad, this cable is not compatible with Toshiba external hard drive. One end looks like mini B but it's not working. Returned. Not surprised I found the warning it is "Frequent Returned Item".

so it seems to be the drive is no good after all
I had a GoFlex External Hard Drive that suddenly quit working and thought that it might be the cord and not the drive. The price was right so I thought it was worth trying before buying a new drive. The cord does work as the light on the drive comes on, so it seems to be the drive is no good after all. I don't consider that to be the seller's fault. One thing I wanted to mention is that this is described as a 5-foot cord, but the one I received is only about a foot long. While that didn't really matter to me, it might to someone else. The item was shipped and delivered promptly.

Now have 2 or 2.5 Terabyes of storage. . . .
