You will NOT be disappointed!
From the moment I opened the box & first saw the Super 64 & blew into it for the very first time, the mellow warm tone of the first note became my inspiration to learn as many songs as possible on this fine instrument!

It grew!
Hohner Super 64's have been my go to chromatic since the the eighties for performance and sessions. A very good sounding and reliable instrument. Will always have one. Thought I would give the Super 64 Performance a try. Very refined sound. Not as punchy as the Super 64. I'm guessing the Super 64 X performance is probably the punchier one. I am still breaking it in so it feels a little leaky for now. It is larger than the Super 64 mostly in thickness so still getting use to that. Slide action is tight, light and smooth which is an improvement on the Super 64. Not sure if I have the hang of the slide stiffness adjustment yet.Think of the Super 64 as a Les Paul and the Super 64 Performance as the Gibson Citation. At least that is my impression so far. The softness and roundness of tone of the Performance can remind me of a clarinet. Not as reedy sounding as the Super 64. Not that reedy is bad. Just another sound. I think one of it's biggest strengths will be in recording.Worth the additional cost over the Super 64. I would recommend getting both if you have the bucks.

Hohner would not fix.
Hohner refused to service instrument on their chromatic harmonica warranty when one note clearly does not play correctly, even when I produced an audio clip with the distorted note that would not play right. I would think twice before spending money on another Hohner Instrument.

Our nephew loved it …started using it immediately he received it
I think it is a great piece of instrument…I do not play an instrument …but the recipient was more than excited and pleased with his gift

The best!
If you want a great instrument, this one is one of the best. I own many brands, and though it’s a bit heavy, I love the ease of playing the low octave. As is the case with all chromatic harmonicas, holes 10, 11, 12 take more effort to play, but usually improve in time.

You delivered when you said you would deliver.
This a Chromatic Harmonica and I make music with it. I have been playing the harmonica since 1940 and maybe before. I was very young. Thanks for asking.
