The Corgi Chronicles

I absolutely loved this book! By page 20, I was hooked and couldn't put this down. The Corgi Chronicles is an excellent children's fantasy novel, and I would recommend it to anyone (child, teen, or adult) who enjoys fantasy stories or just likes corgis. I really hope that there will be more adventures with Pippin, the corgi (of the corgwyn), and his fairy rider. It is a well-written book with plenty of adventure and a very daring and wonderful corgi as a main character. As I read through this book, I could really imagine everything that happened and was completely immersed in Pippin's world. I can't say enough good things about The Corgi Chronicles and really hope this turns into a series. I would read every book that comes out.

The kids loves this book and enjoy reading it

Great for children and ALL AGES who own Corgis, especially those that enjoy fairy lore. I'm well over the age group listed for the book, but found it to be an interesting read - the author has a flair for descriptions and weaves a fairy tale that is so imaginative and well researched on her subjects. Charming tale.

My 10 year old daughter is not a book worm AT ALL. She loves this book! She wishes there was a series. She loves the story line, characters, and the descriptions. Not only has it held her interest but she is enjoying reading it!!

When I was in elementary school my reading diet consisted of books just like THE CORGI CHRONICLES, except there were decidedly fewer choices available to me at the time. This is the perfect novel to help a young kid get into the world of elves, dwarves, and fey without dumping Tolkien on them before the fourth grade; its bold use of fantasy tropes is a plus in this case. The prose is tight and well-paced, respecting its readers' intelligence while remaining easily followed. The book follows the adventures of a corgi named Pippin, an average house dog with a secret: he's the faithful steed to a fairy! Based loosely off Welsh mythology, THE CORGI CHRONICLES will delight young girls and boys alike with healthy doses of age-appropriate adventure and the lovable fluffiness of Pippin. Be prepared to discuss the ideas of greed and anger, along with the reasons good must sometimes be fought for. I highly recommend this book for kids younger than ten or eleven years old.

The action is constant and keeps the reader eagerly looking forward to what happens next. Enjoyed having the story told through the Corgi’s perspective. Good read for youth and adult.

We have Corgis and the book seemed to be a good gift for our 9 yo grand-daughter. My plan was to first, at least, skim the book . When my adult daughter dropped in, she saw the book and opened it up. A couple of hours later, I got it back. Then I had to read it. The book is written on a juvenile level but is a fun read. It could be named "The secret lives of magical Corgis." It is based on the Welsh tales of how Corgis came to humans and how magical they are. It's a great read aloud book.

Leider nur in englisch erhältlich. Erfordert aber keine High End Sprachskills . Recht einfach erzählt wird es zu einer tollen Gute Nacht Story , auch für Kinder. Für Corgi Fans ein must have ! Bin selber ein stolzer Welsh Corgi Pembroke Halter. Einfach Klasse die mystischen Sagen über diese tolle Rasse :)
