Q: Does this model hold sockets or is that the other model with the hog ring?

This model is with the pin which is great. If you want the socket to hold very strongly because you will do a lot of the same size bolts, you align the pin of the gun with the hole in your socket (only one side out of the 4). If you have a job to do where you must change sockets size often, then you don't align the pin of the gun with the hole of the socket (the other 3 sides) which makes the sockets a lot easier to take off because the pin doesn't snap in place. You have the best of both worlds.

Q: Is this item good enough for replace the car tires SUV

Yes. I easily replace all the tires on my old Dodge Ram with it. It has plenty of power even for old rusty bolts. It doesn't take a lot of power so you can use small batteries to keep the gun lighter.

Q: How does the detent pin feel on this model? I had an older 18v model and the detent pin made it such a pain to get the sockets off.

The detent pin is the one flaw of this impact. Mine started sticking so it wouldn’t hold a socket very well after a week. I replaced the anvil with a hog ring. Super easy to do and it cost less than $20. Great deal considering the difference in price for the tool with the detent vs hog ring was $80

Q: Can I use a 20v 6.0ah flex volt battery with this?

Funny how people answer their own thoughts not the question. Of course, you can use any mah battery for this, the 2.0 is for small jobs the 6.0 is for heavier jobs and durability. WTF people.
