This will alow great hand held shots
This is great it's allowing me to do great hand held shots on my short films. The only problem I'm having is drawing back up the rope holding the camera. By the way every bit of video equipment in the picture was purchased on Amazon

High quality
It’s a great alternative to the brand name. Not as smooth but smooth enough

Fine for what it is.
It's a little chintzy but gets the job done on smaller cameras. Doesn't include the spring arm.

Great BUY
Took a chance on this one, I was sitting with my DP and we were discussing the next shoot. Our Ronin wasn't going to work for this shoot neither was our other stabilizers. This Fly cam supported our C300 Mark II without a problem with a sigma 150-600mm. 5 stars

Complete let down! Does not keep tension. So disappointed! Perhaps mine was malfunctioning one?
I haven't even had this FLYCAM for very long and to be honest I don't think it's ever worked correctly like it is supposed to holding the tension. Every time I've tightened the tension knob on the back to the weight of my 7lb camera setup, the knob just spins. The camera will stay to where you pull it but it won't retract back up because there is no more tension. I've tried everything to troubleshoot this and I've finally given up. That was a lot of money to spend $400 for something that can't even work for me. EASY RIG makes the quality version that is dependable. I wish I saved up some money and invested in the Swedish Easy Rig. Super disappointed, I really wanted this to work and it's past the time I can return it within the Amazon return window so now I am stuck with it. I am stunned because ProAim makes cool things that I also own and am happy with, just not impressed with this Starter Flycam.

Excellent customer service. Newer version has better quality & design.
After receiving the defective item, I contacted the seller. They offered to replace a newer version. The upgraded Flowline starter vest has much better quality. Tension knob has a better design and the quality is also much better. A+ for Proaim customer serivce & support team. Highly recommended.

Gets the job done.
After using for a year, this product is satisfactory. It gets the job done. Cons: I wish that the bar was a bit taller, I feel like it hits the back of my head even extended at its full length. The part where it attaches to the camera is sometimes hard to manipulate. Biggest con is that the straps don't go tight enough. Pros: Holds the camera weight and gets the job done. Hard to beat for the money.

This is amazing for the price.
I love the feeling of not having all the weight in my shoulders.

I finally pulled the trigger on getting this for myself and my shooting needs. Admittedly, I hesitated investing in this despite knowing the advantages for years. It was just never me that needed it until now. Literally take the weight off my shoulders and allows a near hand-free navigation of my particular rig. I have BMPCC6K Pro with a Canon 24-105 on a decent shoulder rig and I shoot a lot of things that require a lot of dynamics. So I've opted to setup a wireless follow focus trigger on my left finger, while I "pull" zoom on my right hand with a manual focus wheel. The result is an ENG style gathering with a cinema camera that works incredibly for what I do. This FLYCAM takes all the weight and allows it to float above me so I can focus on pulling both my focus ring and zoom. If you're a single-shooter this starter vest is well worth the investment, especially considering others are double or even triple the price (for obvious reasons).

I used to rent a whole ronin vest apparatus for $100 a day, so thought might be time to actually buy one. When I saw the price, I was worried it would be a bad product like “you get what you pay for” kind of thing. But this product checks out. The quality is amazing, it’s even BETTER than the $5K one I used to rent. Good job!

It does the job, simple as that. Adds that great stability for a smooth yet still desired handheld look, which I wanted. And most importantly for me: it offers great back and arm relief. I can't imagine spending up to 3-5x this amount on some other brands/models (which are mostly more expensive to support heavier camera rigs, from what I see). The functionality and engineering of something like this is so simple; but I can't talk since I am not able to build one of these myself. This is also my first vest, so I have no other basis of comparison. I am using with a rigged up GH5S and a BMPCC6K interchangeably. I am curious as to what benefit buying the additional "spring" attachment for the arm would be though.

its a great budget easyrig...the angled top frame is not a mistake, its angled because thats how its supposed to be used. however a flexibility to change it would have been nice. regardless it does the job well.
